HEX Angst (3)

It's called 'Broken Wedding Bells'. Also, this is my first try writing third person POV. How'd it turn out? 

Hels is the unofficial nether king, as he is the strongest person there. Yes, he lets Wels win. 

Italic paragraph is a flashback. 

No one POV 

     Exeli sobs in a long, black dress. Her hair is in a curly ponytail, hanging all the way down to her waist. Hels tries to comfort her. 

     "I don't care if he was here, I don't care if he cares, I just want him  to know. . ." Ex cries in a shaking voice. 

     "Exeli, I'm sorry, but we have no way of telling him. I would if I could." Hels speaks in a soft, soothing tone. 

     "I know. . . it's not your fault. . . I just wish we were still siblings. . ."

     Xisuma and Exeli fight in the small cave that Exeli calls home. 

     "You always mess thing up for me, why? Why can't you be better? I tried everything to help you, and you don't care at all!" X shouts. 

     "Suma I-" She tries to speak. 

     "NO. I don't want to hear it. From this day on, you are no longer my sister. If I see you again, we will meet as strangers." 

     "Wh-what?" 

     "I hope I never see you again." 

     Xisuma was having a terrible day. There were so many bugs for him to fix, he didn't get enough sleep, and he didn't really mean what he said. Exeli doesn't know that. 

     She collapses on the ground, crying. From this day on, she no longer has a brother. She no longer has a twin. 

     Xisuma came back to the cave a few hours later, wanting to apologize, but Exeli had already left to go live with Hels. Xisuma was the only one holding her back. Xisuma tries to look for her, but she doesn't have a communicator, so she cannot be messaged or tracked. The twins are no longer twins. Exeli drops her last name in favor of Hels.

     "I really miss him." Exeli says. Hels slowly helps her up, and they walk towards the altar together. 

     "Do you, Exeli Knight, take Hels Knight to be your husband?" 

     "I do." 

     "Do you, Hels Knight, take Exeli Knight to be your wife?" 

     "I do." 

     "Then may the nether unite you in the bond of life." 

     Exeli and Hels raise one arm to the sky, holding each other's hands. Badtimes looks on as the pair unite their energy. I small, golden line curls around both of their ring fingers, and slowly creeps downwards to wrap around their wrists. The golden light fades away, and a line of gold remains in their arms where it was. They bring down their hands, now married in the eyes of the nether, and finally they can find their happy ending. 

     Or not. 

     An arrow shoots straight past Hels, missing by only an inch. Another pierces Exeli in her leg. Wels runs out of the warped forest, attacking Hels with a strike of a sword. He tries not to get driven back, and succeeds, until team Z.I.T. join in, and he is forced to back up. Xisuma runs at Exeli, and points a sword at her throat. 

     "What was that ritual?" X demands. Exeli let's out a growl. "What was it! Tell me right now!" 

     "Wouldn't you like to know." She says in a sing-song voice. 

     "I'm not joking around." He presses the blade up against skin, not drawing blood, but close to being. 

     The golden mark on Exeli's arm starts to fade. "No!" She cries out. 

     "Yes! It's gone. Now will you tell me what it did?" 

     "It's a marital spell you idiots." Jellie states sassily. "The marriage of the nether. Are you stupid or something?" 

     "O-oh." X lowers his weapon. "Ex, I'm sorry." 

     "Save it. Tell them to let Hels go and leave me alone." Exeli stops him. 

     "Ex, please let me apologize." Xisuma insisted. 

     "You can apologize by never talking to me again." Exeli persists. 

     "Ex, I'm your brother!" 

     "No your not!" Exeli snaps, raising her voice, despite them keeping their voices down so that the other couldn't hear them. "You are not my brother, you disowned me! You said you hoped you would never see me again!" 

     "I didn't mean it! I'm sorry! As long as you are Exeli Void and I am Xisuma Void, you will always be my sister!" 

     Exeli looks at him in silence for a few moments, but they felt like millenniums. 

     "My name is Exeli Knight."
