(I hate this entire book with my entire being, but read it if you want.)

The fire crackled louder as logs were put inside the burning hearth. The creaking of wood filled the small home as a male carefully sat down next to a taller figure. The male sighed, relaxing lightly into the chair. The figure was tall, Much taller than the male. In the figures arms raised a baby no older than 3. The child rested peacefully in the figure's arm. The male looked over and his gaze softened, seeing the child. He looked up with a frown seeing the figures uneasy eyes. The figure spoke, Her quiet loud steady voice filling the room.

"Do you think this one will live Aiko?" The figure asked, Uneasiness dripping in her tone. A tree swayed gently in front of them as the grass shook with fear. "Don't worry too much, I'm sure he will. He's strong. Like his father. After all, You're both gods." The male spoke carefully looking outside. Wind began blowing harshly. The figure hissed lightly standing from her seat, An uneasy atmosphere filled them both.

"Take him Aiko." The female said, looking over at him with glaring eyes.

"He can't find us, we're fine- The child hasn't been named either. Sit back down Kiku."

"He's almost here! Take the kid!" She yelled, baring her teeth. Downcast cries of birds filled the void of fighting as the birds fled. The winds got stronger.

"We shouldnt run from him!" The male yelled standing his ground. He was tired of running from his grandson. She was a god, Someone that could kill him in a second. But she was scared of her child's safety, And what they might think.

"He always finds a way! He will kill him if we don't run!" Sorrow filled her tone. She knew he was right, She knew that she needed to kill him, But she couldn't bring herself to.

"Do you really-" A loud thump stopped there augment. The grass stood steady as the trees seemed to stand straighter in fear. In fear of the man who had just opened their front door.

"Ah.. There's my son." The new figure said as he smiled gleefully.

"Mind if I let myself in?" He snickered, stepping onto the wood floors. The wood screamed loudly at his weight, Yet no other sound was heard.

Kiku stood frozen in fear.

A loud thump followed by a baby's cries as all hell broke loose in the once peaceful home.

Cries of animals, And the shaking of the grass. The loud creaks and yells. And the cries of that child,
