Chapter 17

      Moon's POV.

"What did you gather from them, Bunny?" We were walking down one of the freakishly long hallways. I had told Bunny to gather some information from the meeting that only a select few were allowed in.

"They're planning to kill Hikari.  Along with it, they're apparently sending an old friend of his to kill him." I stopped walking and looked over at him. Although both of us wore masks, I could tell he wasn't happy about it.

"Why his old friend?" I asked carefully not expecting him to know why.

"Because Keo refused to do it, and Aiko can't because Keo is protecting him. It's worse than what happened to Arrow."

"Aiko wanted Keo to do it?" It was shocking, Aiko never wished harm on someone he didn't know, no matter the reason. But he would do anything to kill his son.

"We both know why, Moon."  Anger and disappointment was laced in his tone. He began walking again, holding his head high.

He hated showing any emotions to others. So he always kept his posture high and straight to seem confident in himself. Trained to be a weapon as the rest of us are.

I began to walk after him. Once I got to him, I jumped in front of him and stopped him from walking any further.

"Isn't there something we can do about it?" I asked, steadily looking at him with pointed eyes. This wasn't a joke, nor was this a good situation.

"Moon, we should just stay out of it." He said back, looking away from me. He was lying. He was keeping something secret.

"We shouldn't stay out of it! We should help Hikari! And-"

He cut me off.

"Stop pretending like you actually care about him! You and everyone else is doing this for Ketsuki! You can't be serious about treating him like we did arrow! No one can be who he was- Arrow- was- fucking better than everyone I have ever met!" He yelled, grief was filled in his tone. He wasn't mad at me, or anyone really. He seemed regretful.

"He's still a person. And I suppose everyone forgot how to treat someone who wasn't trained to kill." I glared at him. It didn't matter to me what he felt. Everyone needs to learn how a person should be treated, Whether they're one of them or not.

"I thought at least you would know that," I said more quietly before walking away. He didn't follow. And I was glad he didn't. Yet I knew he was right. I walked down to the stables which held a single horse. The others had died in the rubble of the place. She was a lone survivor. Along with it, She was the best horse we had. And she was mine. She was a beautiful tall, brown-black horse with spots of white, while her legs were mostly white. I had named her Mino.

She was a Thoroughbred.

I pet the top of her jaw carefully. No one besides the feeders had been down here, since she would likely freak out to others. Mino had never really liked other people. She never let anyone ride her except for me. I smiled slightly at the thought. I had missed Mino. I sighed and decided to set her up for a ride. After all, it was ashy here. Once I finished getting Mino ready I took her out of the stable and began leading her to the opening leading to the field, but the sound of quick footsteps stopped me. Hikari quickly ran into the room out of breath and hid behind me "There coming-" I stared at him for a while, Confused, before someone else walked in, Takara Nakae. She was sweaty and seemed like she had been running. Takara was ordered to kill Hikari but she usually only worked behind the scenes of the missions. I didn't know she was able to actually do a mission.
