Chapter 12
December 12th
Ketsuki's POV
I groaned as I grabbed my cell phone from my pocket, 6:37 It read. Since it was still deadly dark in my room I assumed it was early in the morning. Well, at least I got some sleep. I grabbed the blanket that I had slept with and brought it over to my chair and sat down looking at the screens. I closed the tab that was titled "Injustice" and opened a new tab filled with stories I had yet to finish. I quickly decided to open the book I had grown familiar with over the last few months that I had titled, Ass. It was a book about two teenagers, one who was always fighting and faking his emotions and always powering through. While the other struggled to help him and make him see fighting is not the way he should block out his emotions. Everything in the book had been completed except the ending, and I think I had an idea for it. I sat up in my chair and began typing.
Rain pattered softly against his back as he held the boy in his arms. Tears streamed down his face as the boy smiled at him. "Please, stay with me, Come on, you can do it. Please."
The boy begged, holding the young tighter. A soft sizzling noise surrounded them as the rain put out the fires The younger one had started. He could never have ended his story without a fight, and he sure as hell got one. The older smiled internally at the thought but knew these were likely the end of the younger's days
"I won't die, I promise. This is just the middle of our story." The younger smiled as hope gleaned in his eyes. They both knew he was lying.
"Stop lying to me! We both know you're dying!" The older yelled as tears fell quicker from his eyes. The younger frowned.
"Then live for me okay? You know I'll want to be with you."
The older one smiled sadly.
"I know you're tired. We both know it's your time."
The younger smiled as his eyes closed, he took in his last breath and said something the older would never forget.
"I love you."
His Facade was finally left behind, And he was gone.
I smiled at the ending, happy with it. Although none of the stories I wrote were published for the public, the feeling of finishing something you made was so much better than others opinions.
And It was always worth it.
Hikari POV
Back To Bed.
Where the fuck was I? I woke up on my side with one of my legs hanging off of the bed. I could hear what sounded like typing from a keyboard. I pulled my leg back on the bed and listened for a while. After a couple of minutes it stopped. I opened my eyes and saw a familiar wall ahead of me. Ketsueki's room. I now remember, I tried to kill myself and then Ketsueki stopped me. Then he asked me to sleep in his room. Why did he ask me to sleep in his room? I guess I was just too tired to think about it then. I sat up in his bed and looked around. There was a pillow on the floor next to me. I leaned over and picked it up, setting it next to me. I then saw Ketsueki at his desk, staring at me.
"Hey?" I said.
"Morning." He replied, turning back around in his chair and going back to his computer. I got out of his bed.
"I'm going back to my room."
"Alright, do what you want."
I walked over to the door and walked out. Once I got out I realized that I had no idea where to go. So I walked back inside to ask Ketsueki.
