Ketsueki's POV December 5th, 2026

As Time Slows, Everything Stays The Same

Once I heard the door close, I sighed, placing my head in my hands. Conveniently my dad was coming today to check some things. I decided it'd be best to go down into the basement to practice my shooting before he got here, Sleeping was the worst option.

"My son... Hurry into my room, you wouldn't want to upset me, after all." A deep tone hissed from behind me. I flinched, quickly setting my guns down, then running up the stairs behind my father. He made it into the small room before me, it had a queen-sized bed, a bookshelf that was empty, a desk, and a dresser that wasn't filled with clothes, but something else.

My father went over to the dresser, grabbing a king knife from it with a smile on his face.

"Let's get started, eh?"

He took 2 hours testing me, and then he was finally gone. It was now 11:24. Everything was hurting. I could see the blood on my stomach, arms, and legs, but I didn't bother to get up. The pain felt blissful. Echo would likely find me in a few hours' time, I should be fine. I smiled, letting my eyes fall shut and the pain slowly vanished.
