A Final Breath Of A Monster
Blood dripped soundlessly out of the puncture I had made.
The sword that had been driven through his heart still remained intact. His breathing was scarce as he struggled for air. I held him tightly, Regret surged my body as the pain settled. My wing had been torn beyond repair, And dried blood stuck to it. Most wasn't mine. I sighed carefully as I tried to regain my breath.
I knew I wouldn't make it out of this, This would be my final battle. And I was ready for that.
Over my years my lives had been lost, this was my final one.
Freedom was close for me, Yet so far away for the monster that lay in my arms. As I regained breath, so did he. Yet he still struggled to keep his breath there. He drew in a long breath before speaking. "You're the monster here Father, You're the one who should be on death's door," He spoke shakily, struggling to keep air in his lungs. I smiled lightly and held him closer. "We both may be monsters my son, But everyone deserves a second chance." I breathed lightly letting out a small chuckle. He tensed but after a few minutes, his body relaxed and went dead weight. I placed him down out of my arms and smiled lightly at his relaxed state. He was free at last, And along with it his days as a monster would soon be forgotten
I stood shakily and used the rocks as assistance. The squawking of crows filled my ears as I rested against a boulder. I listened carefully to their Downcast cries. Other birds began to land softly trying to help and assist to keep me alive. Yet we both knew, This was for a better world.
As my breath went shallow the crows began to surround me trying to calm me into the afterlife. A peaceful death they wanted for him. But that wasn't what he deserved
Aiko Sora was a man of great
Courage,
Loyalty,
And Strength.
One the gods looked at and smiled upon.
A god he should be.
A person to be A
⊑ ⟒ ⍀ ⍜
But is that what he Wanted?
In history it went, But the truth was forgotten.
