Eddie Munson(stranger things)

The Gate

I woke up to the sound of Steve and Dustin auguring about God knows what so I quickly woke The DND nerd up and he of course thought it would be funny to jump out and scare them before they arrived.

"In your face man. In your stupid cocky little face."
"Doesn't make sense"
"Yea yea even with it staring you in the face you can't admit it"
"Can't admit you're wrong butthead" Steve said mocking Dustin right before me and Eddie jumped out
"I concur" Eddie said right as his feet hit the ground
"you Dustin Henderson are a total butthead" i said jumping after him
"Jesus we thought yous were goners" Dustin hugged Eddie and I
"Us too"
"When Eddie and I got to the shore he tried calling you guys, but, uh his walkie was busted" I added
"So i did the thing i apparently do now,uh i ran" Eddie looked around at everyone
"Do you know what time it was?"
"Yea totally my walkie wasn't the only thing that got soaked" he said annoyed while chucking his watch to Nancy
"9:27"
"Same time our flashlights went out" Robin said
"Which means what exactly " I asked
"That that surge of energy was Venca attacking Patrick" Nancy replued
"Well we're one step closer we know how he attacks"
"A bullet should work on him right?"
"I say we chop his head off" Lucas answered I hadn't met Lucas yet so his reply was a surprise I didn't even known he was there
"We need el to get her powers back"

At this point I was just guessing that El was one of the good ones who had powers strong enough to kill anything and everyone
"Everything was like way easier... we had this girl she had superpowers"
" yea you mentioned her" Eddie said cockily while crouching down next to me
"BOOM... bada...bada...boom"
" I was right, skull rock was north,
"Your serious this is skull rock" Steve spoke
"Mhm" agreed Dustin
"this is skull rock okay"
"Mhm"
"Your totally, absolutely, 100% wrong. Right now" Steve replied.
"Yes. and no" argued Dustin
"Oh my god!"Steve said obviously getting annoyed with the freshmen
"This worked correctly when we left the Wheelers it was correct when we got in the car but it started to slip the further east we went now it's way off when I was leading us here I wasn't wrong the compass was"

"So you're using faulty equipment your still wrong"
"Expect it isn't faulty,
Lucas can you remember what can affect a compass"
"ElectroMagnetic fields" Lucas replied
"Yep" proved himself right
"I'm sorry but I'm confused"
"Yea I must've skipped that class" Robin agreed with me
"Okay so in the presence of a stronger electromagnetic field the needle will deflect towards that power. So eitheres there's a huge magnet around here or"
"There's a gate" Lucas finished the sentence
"But we're no where near a lab"

At this point I was regretting not paying attention to my science teacher back in Canada because I have no idea what the nerdy freshman was saying

"What if some how there's another gate"
"The last time we had seen anything like this it was a gate and I hope it is because that means we have a way to Venca"
"Where are you going" I asked panicky at Dustin
"This compass might be the key to saving Eddie and Max"
" what say you, Eddie the banished"
Everyone turned their heads waiting for the long haired boy to answer

"I say you're asking me to follow you into Mordor, which if it being straight with you, I think it's a really bad idea. But uh the shire, the shire is burning. So Mordor it is" he said while grabbing my hand leading me to wherever Dustin was taking us
