(He is so cute, like I can't. Also this story won't have some accurate scenes like the movie.)
"Y/n?!" I groaned as I felt someone shake me awake. Pulling a pillow over my head I heard a deep sigh, "You can't sleep all day, plus I have things for you to do sis." Of course spot has something for me to do. I mean whatever makes enough money to survive.
"Fine I'm up." I huffed slowly sitting up. My eyes started to adjust to the light before spot became clear to my image.
"Be out on the docks in ten." Spot ruffled my hair making me smack his hand away.
"Yeah whatever."
"After all these years, I should be used to you being grumpy." He lightly chuckled.
I rolled my eyes at his stupidity, "Okay go! I have to get ready."
"Alrighty."
Spot walked out of my room shutting the door behind him. I rubbed my eyes groaning. I was tired as yesterday we worked harder on selling papers. We made quite a bit of money, so I can't really complain. After getting dressed, I find myself walking on the docks.
"Morning Y/n!" A few boys shout before jumping in the water for their daily swim. I shared a smile with the guys before I heard that obnoxious voice.
"Finally you're here." Spot greeted me.
"Good morning to you too." I rolled my eyes.
"Alright boys I have a few tasks for you guys." He announced fiddling with his sling shot. I was the only girl newsie in New York. It made it difficult at times as I really never had a friend that was a girl because I do guy things or hadn't any job that was lady like.
"Albert and Will you're in charge of finding newsie recruits. Randy and Johnny you're in charge of how many papers we buy today. As for you little sis, I want you to check around where Jack Kelly and his group of newsies sell their papers. I want you to see if their sells are higher than ours as our selling spot isn't making much." Spot instructed.
"Why do I have to do that. How about I trade jobs with the other guys?" I disagreed.
"Because, I don't want to leave you here with the guys because all they do is drool over you like a bunch of pigs."
"And what's so wrong with that?" Crossing my arms, I question him with narrowed eyes.
"Just do as I say. You're making this more difficult then it really is." He huffed.
"Whatever you say." I roll my eyes before I began the journey.

I heard a bunch of laughter and commotion grabbing my attention. I turn the corner and see a boy running from two guys watching as his group laughed. I could recognize him from anywhere. Jack Kelly. Rolling my eyes, I find myself keeping a distance watching the mess unfold. Guys are so immature. I don't see myself with anyone. I mean I haven't been searching as all guys are idiots. Well that's only 25% of the reason. When Spot Collins is your big brother, maybe someone will understand.
