Chapter 9 ~ Imagination

•SHAWN'S POV•
After Kenz and Ash left to have their 'emergency sleepover' the rest of us went to Panera for dinner. No one has really said anything to the group overall but there has been talk between people here and there all about what happened with Ash and Cam. Although there are two people that aren't doing or saying anything, Cam and Mahogany. Glinsky has been talking to me about it but he said he doesn't know what's going on. I think he's lying but I just shrugged it off. I have a feeling that Cam's not saying anything because he's guilty and may have kissed Ash or something along the lines of that, and Mahogany isn't talking because she has no clue that Ash likes Cam. I keep thinking about it but there's still something in the back of my head about the person I like. Kenz. Yes. That's right I like McKenna Jay Miller. But anyway let's forget that because I don't want to lose the friendship we have.
She'd spend the afternoon at my house, I'd play guitar and both of us would sing. (Oh did I mention she has an amazing voice). Then it'd get really late and she'd end up spending the night at mine.
That's the kind of friendship I know some would die for.
I would honestly have loved to continue thinking about what we could be but I was pulled from my thoughts by Glinsky.
"Bro, you listening?" He laughed.
"Oh, yeah sorry. Just thinking about something." I replied.
"Something or someone? Yeah. I know. I've seen the way you look at Kenz. It's the same way i look at A-" he cut himself off before he finished saying who he liked. Damn.
***Skipping dinner***
We finished our desert and all walked out to the van and got in.
"Everyone good to come to mine?" Jacob asked from the drivers seat.
"Um actually bro, could you drop me home. I've got some stuff up I have to do." Not completely a lie. I have to go home and think about what to do with the situation of me liking Kenz.
"Yeah sure" he simply replied.
A few minutes passed and we arrived at my place. I got out, said bye and walked to the front door. I unlocked the door, walked inside and ever so slowly made my way up the stairs in the complete opposite way of enthusiastically. I got to my room and grabbed one of my many guitars. I grabbed my note book and decided to play one of my newest songs I've been writing for my album 'Handwritten' called 'imagination'. (A/N: I know Shawn's album is already out but let's just pretend it isn't until I say. Okay? Okay!) Yes it's about Kenna and yes it's kinda cliché but I know she loves that kind of stuff. I opened the book and sat it on one of my music stands. I sat my guitar in a comfortable position and started playing the pre-chorus.

I stopped playing and put my guitar in its stand. I laid back on my bed and just thought about everything that had to do with me and Kenz. I decided to call Glinsky and asked him to come over.
He soon arrived and sat in the comfy chair in the corner of my room.
"I've written a song and it's for or about Kenz. You choose. But I need your opinion."
He just nodded in reply and I played the song the whole way through.
"Dude. That's awesome. She'll love it." Glinsky basically shouted. I returned it with a simple thanks and smiled.
We started jamming out to a random song and got tired really quickly. I laid back on my bed and said,
"Why haven't I made her mine yet bro?" He just shrugged but he had the biggest smirk on his face.
"Wha-" I began to go ask what he was smirking at but I was interrupted.
"That's a good question Shawn. Why aren't I yours yet?" I turned around, my bedroom door was open and standing in the doorway was the one and only McKenna Jay Miller.

So sorry I haven't updated in ages. This is a surprise chapter dedicated to the most amazing friend ever. canyoureadthis is my best friend of all time and I picture McKenna as her. She kind of co writes this book with me but this is pretty much the only chapter I didn't tell her about because I knew she'd love it.
But anyway...
