Happy pride peeps, have some gay
🏳️⚧️🤍🤎🖤❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🏳️🌈"Damn," Briefly inspecting a thermometer, Izuku tilted his head like a puppy, worriedly gazing into mismatched eyes.
He was currently sitting on the bedside of his sick boyfriend, taking his temperature after tucking him in for some well earned rest.
"What is it?" Shouto, propped himself up on his elbows, blankets tumbling off as he tried to get a look at the temperature.
"Well, you definitely have a fever,"
"Oh. Is it bad?"
"106," (40.6*c) the freckled boy announced, tossing the thermometer on the nightstand. "and I hope it's normal for you to run high, because otherwise I'd have to say you are probably going to die." He said, his voice gently mischievous as a gentle hand pressed against his boyfriend's forehead for confirmation.
"It's genetic. My family usually measures weird because of our quirks. My father goes high, mom runs low. Usually I can be anywhere from 96 to 103, it depends on the circumstances."
"Oh, we'll, that's good to know," Fixing the blankets, he couldn't resist pressing a soft little kiss on Sho's scarred eyelid. "Do you need anything? Water? Blankets? I can't imagine your hungry but...?"
"I'm fine. Just, cold." Something about his tone and face told Midoriya that being unable to control his body temperature was becoming a very strange discomfort for the teen.
"Okay, I'll see if I can find anymore blankets," cupping hands around warm cheeks, he gave a little smile and turned off for his dorm room for the aforementioned blankets.
"Thanks," Shouto mumbled, barely audible as he burrowed back under the blankets with a shiver.
As the door clicked shut, he shifted around in the sheets, trying to get comfortable without disturbing the sudden throbbing headache.
He felt a little guilty for separating from the rest of his classmates, but the true exhaustion was dawning on him, lessening the guilt a bit.
It felt like forever before Izuku returned, but eventually he did, plenty of fluffy blankets in tow, along with a few other things. Dropping them on the desk, he brought the blankets over for his boyfriend.
Laying each blanket, one by one, onto the chilly boy, he added one kiss for every blanket, an absolutely adorable gesture.
"I got some juice boxes too, 'cause I remember them being the shit whenever I was sick," he smiled, subtle nostalgia to his voice as he set a pack on the desk, bringing two over.
Grabbing his computer, the grenette snuggled up on the edge of the bed, offering the juice to Shouto, who just held onto it rather than drink it; fairly so, as he was still pretty shaken.
For a good rest of the evening the two confided to just winding down and watching YouTube.
And, eventually, Shouto did come around to the juice box, taking reserved sips as the hour passed. Though he did opt out when Izu offered to share some of his dinner, his stomach still turning at the thought.
He was extremely grateful for the bedrest, especially compared the awfulness from the rest of the day. The soft touch of fingers barely touching his skin, tenderly tracing up and down his forearm, a tranquility unfelt in years.
The sweet snuggles of a warm embrace aided sore muscles, warding off all pains to a dull ache lulling rest upon heavy eyes.
At some point around eight-thirty, Midoriya noticed the silence had fallen oddly quieter, and after a loving glance he noted that Shouto was asleep. Poor guy, always early to bed on a good day but tonight's a new record. He thought, lightly stroking silky locks as he moved carefully to turn down the computer volume in effort to give Sho the most sleep possible.
Izuku knew he would be completely incapable of falling asleep at this hour, and frankly, it'd be pointless to try. Instead, he resorted to just leaving the computer on, immersing himself in the stillness and peace of zoned out entertainment mixed with the hypnotic repetition of hands lightly caressing fever-ridden, sweaty, skin.
Eventually, around 11, with heavy eyes, he decided to turn in for the night. By now, Shouto was entirely using him as a pillow, making it quite the effort to put the computer up and lay down without waking him.
Planting one more kiss on Sho's forehead and curling up beside him, Izuku fell quickly to asleep. Warmed by the dozen plushy blankets and hot body clinging to his right side.
