A few minutes passed as the two of them kept their arms around each other. He had calmed down a bit and tried to breathe normally. The cold winds hitting the window at the end of the room made the two jump. They looked over to that side and were relieved it wasn't another monstra. "You better now?" she asked him as they had looked at each other. "I wouldn't say better...just calmer." he responded, looking at both his hands.

"Well, like I said, one step at a time. Plus, I think we're gonna have all the time in the world here." she stated, shrugging off the fact that they're stuck in the middle of nowhere. He laid back in bed, trying to regain all the energy he had lost in the fight. She took off the hoodie he had given her and gave it back. "You'll most definitely need it more than me now." she said.

"You sure? You have like a big rip on your shirt." he responded back before taking the hoodie. "Eh, there's gotta be something around here I can use." she stated as she threw the hoodie at him, making him unable to refuse it. He sat up to put it on, the moment he did he immediately felt warm. He felt way calmer than usual and wondered the reason for this. He immediately looked over at her. She was looking in a drawer that was in the room to see if there was anything useful to use or wear. "Hey...how can you even be so calm after everything?" he asked as he wrapped his own arms around himself, comfortable now that he had the hoodie.

She stopped what she was doing entirely and sighed. "I was created by her to stay calm in stressful situations... It was at Amnea, or how you'd know it, The Fall of Amnea. She couldn't handle what was happening, and I was created. I'm only her way of coping with unwanted problems." she spoke out. He began to laugh as this all seemed too familiar. "What's so funny?" she asked, annoyed.

He smiled trying to control his laughter before speaking. "heh... Back when we were kids he used to get bullied constantly. Couple that with the fact that the only parental figure we ever had never came to visit or even check up on us, and I'd say you had the perfect recipe for anger. One day when they were beating on him, they tried taking A-" he suddenly stopped to think of that person. "They tried....no, they took her away from us. The moment he realized this he blacked out, and I was created." he finished.

"So...both of us are just things they can use and throw away whenever they want." she stated. He looked down as he contemplated. Weirdly enough he felt more comforted by her presence now. Having someone who understood what it's like felt good for her as well. "What did you do to him anyway?" she asked as she kept looking through the room. "...I guess you weren't there. I put him to 'sleep' basically. He's living out his own world in our head." he responded as he laid back once again. "Like...he's in a dream? Can you see what's going on?" she asked, genuinely intrigued. "....kinda." he responded, tired.

She looked over at him, noticing the change in tone. "You okay?" she asked, worried he might break down again. "I just...need to process everything. It's all gonna be so different now. Sorry." he responded as he kept looking at his hands. She had found a shirt that actually fit her finally. She looked over at him, still looking at his hands. "I...uhh...can you turn the other way? I kinda wanna get this ripped and bloody shirt off me." she awkwardly said. He snapped out of looking at his hands. "Huh...oh." he spoke out as his face turned red. He turned to his side, still laying down, as she changed into that new shirt.

"Who knew changing from a bloody shirt with a massive hole in its side to a warm long-sleeve shirt would be so nice." she stated, trying to lighten up the situation, as she walked over towards him. "Does that mean I can turn around? I don't like resting on this side." he asked, his face still red.

She walked around towards his line of sight. He noticed her and went "Oh." before turning to look up. She went towards the door they came in through and locked it. "I don't know what time it is, but I'm tired, and you should rest. I most definitely do not feel safe with that door unlocked." she stated as she sat down next to him. "Uhh, I don't wanna be rude, but there's literally like 2 other beds in this room." he said, terrified at the thought of sleeping next to her after what he'd done.

She put her hand on his forehead. "True, but it's easier to keep a tab on you here." she stated as she laid down next to him, looking to the side. "Besides, there's enough room in this bed for 3 people. If it's too awkward I'll just move a bit farther. I just want to make sure you don't die on me."

He couldn't move out of bed himself, so he didn't have a choice. He turned away from her as he got comfortable. "Thank you." he said as he closed his eyes. She turned away from him as she was content that someone was there with her.

"You know, you look good in that hoodie." she said, having noticed the different design earlier. "This hoodie is gonna be a constant reminder of everything." he said, eyes still closed. "Well...we can only make the best of what's to come next." she responded. The winds outside howled as the snow continued falling.
