As the color black was almost covering him entirely, he muttered the words "Sorry..." under his breath. She was able to read them, she put one foot back as she looked at the massive group of people forming behind the girl.
"Lady Hina, on your command." said a bushy-haired man near her. His red eyes shone through the fog in the area.
The girl, Hina, raised her hand and waited for their attack first. The sky above them turned red. The darkness covered him entirely now, the grin from before on his face. He turned his head, curious of the girl. Almost as if recognizing her in a way.
As it turned its head right up again, distorted laughter was heard all around the area. The figure lifted his hand while still laughing and the sky turned blood orange instead.
As the girl moved an inch, it dashed past her. A sonic boom followed his path, the group behind the girl was cut down through the middle. Blood began raining from the sky, and the group of people looked around, scared.
The snow also became harder and pieces of hail started falling. She moved inside the castle and leaned back in a wall, her breaths came in heavy and slow. She felt her chest heavy and her breaths hot. Suddenly, she grabbed onto the wall and kneeled to the side.
The man with red eyes moved the girl to the side. In the spot they were standing in before, an icicle came up from the ground. The girl moved her hand forward and pointed at him. The people around her all summoned their weapons at once. From rapiers to clubs and axes to gauntlets. The group wielded all flavors of Telums.
The girl put her arms to the side, taking in all the blood falling from the sky. The group she commanded ran forward. The figure summoned a white scythe with a black outline. It stepped forward and no more than two seconds later, the frontline of the group was cut in half.
As the bodies hit the floor, the group stopped moving. The girl's eyes lit up as she seemed to be gaining power. The snow stopped falling entirely, and the ground shook. It became even colder as clouds completely covered the sky. The figure disappeared as lightning struck it. Mere moments later, the figure landed in the middle of the group as lightning struck the landing zone as well.
Spikes of ice came up from the ground, impaling and immediately shredding a big part of the group. Orbs fell on the ground in place of the lives that were taken. Despite anything, the girl still stayed in the same place. The figure grabbed the air above him, hands resembling his came up from underground and held onto the orbs that fell. He crushed them all, gaining their powers.
There he stood, looking at the final targets. The girl looked directly at the figure, she walked forward not showing a hint of fear. There was a small glow in her jacket. Tori looked from a distance, her heart raced. She knew the shape of that scythe, at least, who it belonged to. She noticed an energy surrounding the area of the figure. It was barely visible to her but it seemed to be making its way towards the girl.
She looked at her hands. "Spirit energy..." were the first words she thought of. She created a dagger from that energy and walked towards the figure. It dug the scythe into the ground and started walking towards the girl. The girl looked over at Tori and pointed forward, the boy next to her began walking towards her. The figure moved a hand forward, as if pushing something.
The boy was moved back immediately. Tori threw the dagger at the girl, Hina managed to stop it as she grabbed it by the blade.
"So is that your plan? To let your group die so you can use the energy?" Tori asked, now standing mere feet away from the figure.
The figure made a fist, and all the surrounding energy that Tori saw disappeared.
"Either they get the job done, or I reap their power once they're gone. Pretty simple." Hina responded, a smug look on her face.
A glow in Tori's pocket appeared as well. She grabbed the object in it and held it tightly.
"It's been fun though. I think it's time to head back now." Hina followed up as she grabbed something from her jacket.
A light filled Hina's other hand, and a Tai Chi sword took form. At the same time, Tori created a ball of fire in her hands which she threw towards Hina and the boy. The boy then moved in front of Hina and blocked the attack with a greatsword.
Hina walked in front of the boy with the sword in hand. "Arius, handle the girl."
She quickly stepped forward and with the sword and another object in her hand went to attack the figure. A light in that same hand became brighter as she got closer to it. The figure became distorted once again, it began to glitch out. The boy, Arius, dragged the greatsword on the floor as he walked towards Tori.
As the snow was parted by the edge of the blade, Tori created a greatsword of her own. It heavily resembled someone else's from their journey. She dragged it on the ground as well...
