The two had closed their eyes listening in as the footsteps approached. They felt whatever was roaming the halls had stopped in front of the door. They opened their eyes and nodded at each other. He opened the door quickly, she went in to attack whatever was outside.

As she was swinging her broadsword, she quickly realized who it was. She swung away from the person, the broadsword hit the floor. He also realized who it was, his black hair and that scarf were indistinguishable. After all, he's the only other person who had helped them in their journey beforehand. She stopped using her power entirely, the sword disappeared.

"You kids...are the only ones left?" the man said, his voice low as his eyes gave away his surprise.

She stepped back as she heard someone else walking. The man put his finger over his mouth, telling them both to be quiet. He walked into the room with them and ran his hand down a wall, creating a passage to another place. He closed the door behind him.

"Look, I'm being followed by someone right now. Let's get out of here." The two looked at each other and shrugged their shoulders. They walked through the passage and ended up in a house, a very familiar one. The man walked in with them and made a fist, closing the passage behind them.

He kneeled next to the two of them. "What...happened?"

He looked to the ground, avoiding the man's eyes. She held his arm, reassuring him before speaking. "Hel is the one responsible. She was the one sending everything after us."

He looked at her after she had kept the truth from the man.

"Wow...so I was right. What did she want with you thought?!" the man asked, not sure how to take that information.

He took a deep breath as he grabbed her hand to then quickly let go. "Our friend, Okami, had taunted her when she was making a deal with us..." he responded. She looked over at him, not expecting him to have grabbed her hand.

The man looked closely at the two, noticing the different hair colors and eyes. "Are you two-"

"Yes, we're their alters ." she interrupted, looking at the ground.

The man stood up again and walked over to the fridge. "Do you two want anything? I can't imagine that you two have eaten a lot since I last saw you." he asked. She looked over at him, he was staring out through the window. The snow was still falling, not much different from their journey. She told the man that she was hungry as she grabbed the boy's arm. He looked over at her, he could tell she tried to get him to stop thinking about everything. The man opened the fridge and took out a few things.

"So... what's your plan now?" the man asked, his hands full of ingredients. The boy turned his head over to the man immediately. "Right...what IS next...?" he asked himself, his mind wandering everywhere.

"We're...still wondering that same question." she answered. The boy looked outside again, this time he got closer to the window....
