The whole book is blank. There is absolutely nothing written inside of it.

And this fact, scares the absolute shit out of me.

Let me tell you why.

That red book had utterly mesmerized me so I had taken it to the old man for billing. The old man had looked at the book a bit warily and told me that he would take no money for it and proceeded to close the shop. I insisted on paying for the book but the old man argued and said he cannot take payment for it or he would be punished.

Weird.

Anyways, after he hurriedly closed the shop down, me and Eric left. We roamed some more, had ice cream then returned to our homes.

After I had washed up I sat on my bed and opened the book. There were some weird symbols written on the first few pages of the book. Looked like Greek. I had made a mental note to run these through a translator app the next day.

Now, when I have opened the book the next day, all the pages are blank.

I brainstormed about what could have happened until I got tired of thinking. It was Sunday, and I had no homework to do, so I was bored. I started to scroll through Instagram and—

A fanfic.

These two seem to be haunting me everywhere I go!
I can never seem to get away from them. I clicked on the link started to read the story. It was actually pretty good. Wait — I haven't written a fanfic about them in a high school setting?! Why did I realise that just now? That's my main genre of romance fics. How could I have forgotten?

Suddenly the boredom seemed to have vanished, and I picked up my pen to write down the outline of the plot. I was 2 seconds away from writing than I realised that I was about to write on the bedsheet. Shit. If mom saw me doing that she would have killed me.

Looking around for something to write on, I spotted the red book lying on the bedside table. It's blank right? So it's perfect for me to write on. Just the idea of writing on an ancient piece of parchment made me excited. I quickly opened it and wrote down the first draft. I was about to write more, but mom called me down for breakfast. I went downstairs to find my grandmas visiting us, so I spend the whole day with them. Both of them are pretty cool, so I loved hanging out with them. They are always teasing each other, but are always blushing at every  eye contact they make. Its so wholesome to watch them, and makes me wish to experience a love like that.

After dinner, I went up to my room and finished writing the outline of the first chapter. I was about to write the second one but I started feeling sleepy so I put the book beside me and went to sleep.
