You know that feeling when centipedes are crawling up and down your back? Yeah I didn't know either, until now. My neck hurts so bad from turning it to check behind my back, over, and over again. He could be anywhere and I have to be prepared to run at any time. I still haven't told anyone that He was here. No one would believe me, especially since they can't find him and think I made it up.

The constant buzzing in my head gets interrupted by the bell ringing and I let out a little squeak, but luckily no one notices.

"Chloe please stay back for a moment," My head snaps towards Mr. Kate, my science teacher. I nod and walk over to his cluttered desk. "Now, I know that it's been a very hard adjustment for you since you've returned. But, Chloe it's been a month. You need to get back on your feet, and start participating, I know you're a smart girl and your work really reflects that. How you know the subjects that we covered while you were gone is beyond me. But I won't pressure you into telling me. I just want you to exceed." I nod but don't make an attempt to answer him. It was nice, what he said. But he doesn't know me. He shouldn't be getting involved.

Without being dismissed I walk out the door with my bag strapped on my shoulder.

When I exit the classroom I get so wrapped up in my drowning thoughts I don't notice that Cameron and Lilly are waiting for me right by the door. I jump and squeak...again. I mentally reprimand myself for being so weak.

"Hey calm down Coles it's just us," Cam lets out a nervous laugh and Lilly gives me a small smile. I nod and start walking towards the library. "Oh no you don't," Cam takes hold of my arm before I can object. "You have to have lunch with us at least once this week. Ever since you showed up to school with Ashton you've been really jumpy and reclusive." I keep my face completely blank. Yes, this morning. A few, short hours previous I saw him. I take a deep breath to calm myself and sigh when I exhale and start walking to the patio outside where Cam and Lilly eat everyday.

They both give be face splitting smiles, and I turn away and slump forward.

"Yes!" Lilly cheers.

"I told you I could get her to come have lunch with us!" Cameron laughs and smiles victoriously. I roll my eyes and plop down on the bench. Before they can start talking to me I take out my headphones and a book, shutting them all out.

After a few minutes I look up and see them both sulking. Their sunny smiles hidden by disappointed clouds. I let my shoulders slump and take out my earbuds and put the book back in my bag and gesture for them to continue with a slight nod.

Cameron is the first one to start talking. "Oh I knew you would. You don't have a mean bone in your body Coles." Lilly nods in agreement, and I let them ramble on about the latest gossip or Cameron's sports. But when I hear my name my head snaps up.

"Chloe don't you have a lunch?" Lilly asks, with a small crease between her eyebrows. I shrug in response. Today, eating wasn't my main priority. "Here, take half my sandwich." She hands me her sandwich and I shake my head. "Well here, I have a juice box. You have to get some kind of vitamins or sugar in you!" I take a sip of the apple juice and feel the tips of my lips crease into a small smile. This brings up so many fond memories. Lilly always used to pack me a juice box because my mom wouldn't buy them.

I go back down to take another sip while their conversation continues on. Letting the juice sit on my taste buds I look up and spit out the contents right away.

"What the hell Coles!?" I hear Cams voice yell but it seems so far away. The rest of the world has fallen away and it's only me and the figure that leans against a tree on the far side of the field. My throat closes up and I feel my joints weaken. "Coles!?" Cams voice yells again but he's shushed by Lilly.

"Chloe what's wrong?" I shake my head and my whole body begins to shake with fear and tears begin to fill my eyes. Out of the corner of my eye I see Lilly and Cam squinting to the painfully familiar figure, still leaning against the tree.

So I do the only thing I can. The only thing that I could do while being trapped in that horrible place.

I scream.
