Nintendo High Sophomore Year

Surprise!

The holidays were just around the corner, even though Thanksgiving is arriving closer. Nevertheless, people are starting to shop for early Christmas presents so that they won't have to struggle for later. Gamestop, fortunately, was one of the only few that are not bombarded yet. This was when the 2 boys, Neo and Stan, decided to go there since other stores were so chaotic.

Inside the Gamestop was filled with so many games, accessories, collectibles, and many other stuff that a devoted fan or a nerd can enjoy. They loved going here. But sometimes they don't have much for them since it is a small store and not like the other bigger Gamestops. That didn't stop them as they were still relived it's not a mad house.

"So, what game are you getting?" Neo asked.

"Hmm...I think the new Five Nights at Freddy's." Stan answered.

"You mean Security Breach?"

"Yea! That one. They say it's not like the original, but I'm open for new stuff." Stan then looked around to see if they have the game. And just when he was about to ask the clerk, he found it. As soon as he picked it up, he accidentally bumped into someone. He soon found out it was Octavia. "Sorry Octy! I didn't see you there!"

"It's alright. I should've watched where I was going." Octavia said as she smiled.

"Octavia. What are you doing here?" Neo asked.

"Well, I was interested in gaming so I can play with you guys, but I'm trying to figure out what platform to get." She answered.

This surprised the 2 boys. They looked at each other to confirm if they both heard right. But clearly Octavia is trying to fit in. Stan didn't want her to force herself since she is still a friend, but was happy to have her playing. "Well, if you want, I can give you 2 great suggestions: And OLED Switch or the Xbox Series X"

"What's the difference?" She asked.

"The Nintendo Switch OLED is cheaper, with a range of generally more family-oriented games and is portable.. While the The Xbox Series X is more expensive, with first-party games available on day one in Xbox Game Pass and is not." Neo explained.

Octavia was looking at the prices of both platforms and decided on the Series X, since she is more interested in it. After she paid for it and while Stan was paying for his and Neo for his new Nintendo Switch Sports, Octavia was calling her father. He soon pick up. However, she can hear that Stella was going ballistic and Stolas was force to put the phone down without hanging up to stop Stella. Octavia sighed and hangs up.

Stan and Neo saw this. Stan decided to ask her. "Your mom is acting like a Karen again?"

"Yes." She sighed. "I really don't feel like going home right now. I can't stand it."

"Well...how's about you hang out at my house?"

"Really?"

"Of course."

"Um...sure. Thanks Stan." Octavia hugged him, not as a sign of love but appreciation.

"I'll come too since I have nothing better to do. Plus, It's not my curfew yet." Neo added.

"Sure." Stan said.

As they walked out of the store, Neo spoke to Octavia. "No offense Octavia, but your mother is insane."

"She really is. I can't stand her." Octavia sighed.

As they arrived at Stan's house, they saw Nika and Dasha's camper at the driveway. Audrey's car is nowhere to be seen. This was very surprising to the 2 boys, but Neo was also concerned if Alaria is alright. So he ran fast to the door and knocked. The door opened, revealing Nika.
