Over the next two weeks following Dumbledore's suspension, the castle seemed to become colder- teachers and students alike had tense worry lines marked into their faces, not to mention how no-one went about the castle on their own unescorted. This precaution, although I knew it to be necessary and for the safety of all, irritated me no end; Professor M became extremely restrictive, I could no longer visit the library without her escorting me and while there, the librarian Madam Prince kept a very strict eye on me- practically breathing down my neck meaning I couldn't make myself invisible to the other students, which thankfully were lacking anyway.

My time in the library was spent finding out everything about Hogwart's history for anything about the Chamber of Secrets- when I could gain little to no information about this, I turned my attention to spiders, searching every and any book about spiders to try and understand what the gamekeeper Hagrid's hint was about. There was only one book, which came close to being helpful, but just as it seemed to get close on information about causes that could effect spiders behavior- someone had torn out the next page. This was very unhelpful, and I really wanted to talk to Harry about whether he'd had any ideas about the clues left; I had- during a lesson change and having managed to escape Professor M's apartment while she was teaching- managed to catch up with Harry one afternoon and pull him into a broom closet.

"Robyn? I wasn't sure if you were still here." He began, shocked at seeing me. "Thought you might've left cause've everything going."

"I'm not leaving until I have to," I told him firmly before telling him I was there when they'd arrested Hagrid and suspended Dumbledore. "Have you had any ideas about the spiders and asking Hogwarts for help?"

"Me and Ron have been looking all over the castle for spiders, but there aren't any." He frowns, "And there's no one to ask for help cause everyone's in the same boat. You?"

"I've read up everything I can about spiders but there's nothing, same with information in Hogwart's history about the Chamber of Secrets."

"Yeah, my friend Hermione said as much," he said miserably. I merely nod, deciding against mentioning that I was the one who found her and her friend petrified. "Anyway, best get back or the teachers'll kill me."

"Same here, see you around I guess." I watch him leave but stay in the broom cupboard until I'm sure everyone's back in lessons. So Harry was looking to follow the spiders as Hagrid had said- I contemplated tagging along with him if he found any spiders to follow, then realized I would have no way of knowing if he did eventually find any spiders. My frustration at the whole situation returned. A couple days after speaking to Harry, I stayed up one night feeling restless and agitated- I'd already tried focusing my mind, a tactic I taken to recently to calm myself, which also seemed to strengthen my control over my magical ability, whereby I sat down in the middle of the room, emptied my mind and then concentrated on feeling my surroundings. The result I had mastered was that I could lift all the furniture in the room and have it spin slowly around me as if i were the sun and the furniture were orbiting planets; similar to what happened when I tried to levitate the glass in front of Professor M and Dumbledory, only this time I was in complete control.

Tonight, however, nothing settled me; after Professor M had left to do her nightly patrol, I began pacing the room- unable to walk off the feeling of nervousness stuck in my chest, unsettling my breathing and making me feel shaky though my hands were still. My symptoms seemed to worsen as the time passed midnight; another half an hour passed as my breathing grew heavier, then it happened. I was no longer staring at Professor M's darkened apartment, I was now looking into a darkened forest lit on by the headlights of a wildered car, illuminating the scene as Harry and his friend, Ron, were swept of their feet by two massive spiders. Next moment, the scene was gone and the sickness that had been building in my stomach was instead replaced by a turning sensation followed by being sucked through a tube.
