He fell in love with her smile for it was a sweet smile. She was in love with every part of his being. Whenever I saw them together it hurt like hell. They hurt each other like hell. Seon was every girl's dream lover and the envy of every boy but to me he was a friend... just a friend. Kara was a guy's dream and the idol of females but to me she was a friend.... just a friend. We laughed together at lunch and cried together during pains. I could tell their emotions but they didn't care about mine. They hugged me, held my hand and tried to lead me on thinking that I was oblivious to the truth. They didn't know that I saw them in the corner of my eye, I heard their whispers and felt that I was no longer their lover.
I was pretending to be nice when I gave the cheating bastards my blessing, even though it hurt. One day, she returned happier than ever before and I became the third wheel. They'd fawn over each other while others looked at me pitifully. I gave the liars my blessing as I secretly wished for their demise. It was pitiful... I was pitiful.
The rain fell one day. The thunder and lightning created a harmonious melody that would soon bring me to tears. He gave her the umbrella and asked if they could walk together leaving me in the cold. I hated that four letter 'l' word. Why stop your cheating lover when you'll only be seen as the broken second lead. My tears fell as my heart broke and the rain cried "she loves you, stupid" as they walked away. I remembered the words my grandmother spoke. She said "darling, never trust someone who says to love them in secret ".
