In my heart there was a seed planted
And from it sprang desire
The desire to be more than friends
But less than loversA desire that could kill me
And everything I've known
The desire to have her
To kiss her, to hug her
And to hold her hand
As a friend not a lover
Or so I thoughtMy parents warned me about
What would happen if
I tasted the forbidden fruit
I'd end up like Eve
Dead in the garden of my heartI tried but I couldn't
So I ran and took shelter
Under the forbidden tree
And as I looked at the fruit I heard someone whisper:
Eat itI knew the consequences of the actions
That would follow
And as the serpent cried out...I ATE
Because love is more than just a
DESIRE
