"It's pitiful, really." Beau muttered.

"You think?" Seraphina asked.

Beau sighed.

"Well anyways pay up, I won the bet." Seraphina said to the boy.

He rolled his eyes and handed her the coins.

"Now I'll enjoy good food, so see you later." She said, rattling the pouch of coins, smiling devilishly.

Beau pouted and turned around.

"Take me with you." he whined running after Seraphina.

Lilliana sighed. She needed to do it properly so she didn't regret anything.

Tamlin walked in, bloodied up and bruised from head to toe. Lilliana chuckled.

"Hey. Is this funny?" He asked

"Yes it is." She said snorting.

"You little-

Another  laugh from her interrupted him and he sat down feeling defeated.

She opened her mouth to say something again but she couldn't stop laughing.

"Talk when you stop laughing." He said, scowling.

She kept laughing and he quietly cursed.

"Honestly, no offense but I would have won that easily." She said, the laughing fits now gone.

Tamlin mimicked her.

She stuck her tongue out.

Tamlin made a face.

Then they both went silent.

"How was the reconcilation?" He asked after a while.

"Well, it went good I suppose."

"You suppose? I get beat up for a reconciliation and it doesn't even happen properly. How disappointing." He muttered

"Hey! It wasn't disappointing." She said in defense.

"Are you sure?" He said, making a face.

"Yes, he even hugged me." She said,

He dramatically gasped.

"Yes, I know, I was so-

"Who would he hug, if not you?" He said sarcastically.

"You really had to ruin the mood, right?" She said, frowning.

They both rolled their eyes and scoffed and turned away.

The silence in the room became very loud at one point and it was overwhelming. She had to start the conversation somehow, especially since it would end on a sad note.

"It was difficult, wasn't it? She asked

"What?"

"Seeing Rhysand again and again, smelling her on him."

He looked down and then at the ceiling, and shook his head slowly.

"Not really, it doesn't really hurt anymore when you realize that you were why someone left. It was my fault since the start." He said

"I know that but don't you feel like crying ever?"

"Why are you asking me about something you've seen the consequences of?" He stated referring to the spring court.
