•Chapter 10•

•Six Months Later•

It's been six months since I talked to Zach, I unblocked him on everything and he's been checking on me every time I go to the doctor appointments, I'm honestly a little shocked at how involved he's being right now and the baby isn't even here yet, but I guess it's a good thing.

Alex has been by my side this entire time, always checking in on me and doing things for me. Zach and I decided to keep the pregnancy a secret like Jack had done, David did eventually find out, and Zach and I almost lost our jobs, but he ended up not letting us go. Right now I'm setting things up in the nursery with Alex and Chloe.

Ch: "Oh my goodness, I just can't wait for this baby."

I giggle at how excited she is.

Al: "Me either."

Y/n: "I know, I'm excited to finally have this baby."

I said, they laughed.

Al: "Your pregnancy has been pretty difficult, that's for sure"

I chuckle.

Ch: "We only have a month left!"

Y/n: "I know, it's crazy."

She nodded.

Ch: "You know.. Zach's excited too."

She said, I looked at her and smiled a little.

Ch: "I think he'll be a great dad."

She said, folding the last blanket and placing it in the basket.

Al: "Hopefully."

He said, I glanced at him. Alex doesn't really like Zach, but Zach doesn't really like him either. I honestly don't really care as long as they don't argue around me or the baby. Yeah, I do wish they got along.. but that's not my main priority right now, I mean the baby's coming in a month..

After working on the nursery for hours, we finally got it done, and it looked perfect. But once the baby arrives, I'll add more things since I don't know the gender right now. Zach and I agreed to wait till birth to see what gender it is.

Chloe ended up ordering food to eat here so that's what we did, then she left since it was getting dark. Which just left me and Alex.

We were sitting on the couch, watching tv when he said something.

Al: "You know.. I'm really glad I decided to write my number on your cup that day."

I look at him and laugh a little.

Al: "I'm being serious, I'm really glad I met you. You've made me so much happier these past few months."

I smile.

Y/n: "You know, I'm really glad I met you too."

I said, he smiled. Then it went silent as we looked each other in the eyes, suddenly, he began to lean in. I just sat there, not knowing what to do.. then he stopped himself. He kind of laughed and sat back.

Al: "I'm sorry.."

He said.

Y/n: "No, it's fine.. I just.."

Al: "No, it's ok."

He said, I look at him and smile a little..

Al: "Well.. it's getting late, I guess I should go.. do you need anything before I leave?"

I shake my head.

Y/n: "No, I'm good. Thanks though."

Al: "Of course."
