•Chapter 28•

•Three Months Later•

It's currently Two in the morning and I'm trying my best to stay awake. Iris is asleep in her room and right now I'm sitting on the couch, waiting for Alex to get home. Alex moved in about a month ago and he went out with his friends earlier, but he hasn't gotten back yet and I'm getting a little worried. I tried calling and texting, but he wouldn't answer me.

Suddenly I hear the door open, then closing. I get up and walked over to see Alex walking in, swaying a bit. He then turns to look at me, and I could immediately tell that he was drunk.

Al: "Hey, Babe."

He said, walking towards me, I could smell the liquor in his breath.

Y/n: "Hey.."

I said, backing up a little.

Al: "What are you doing?"

He said, placing his hands on my waist, then pulling me into a hug.

Y/n: "Nothing.."

I said, not gonna lie, I was a little nervous. He's never acted like this before.

Y/n: "Um, how about we go lay down.."

I said, pulling away from the hug.

Al: "Nah, I wanna chill in here for a sec."

He said, walking past me and flopping down on the couch. I looked at him, crossing my arms.

Al: "We had a lot of fun tonight."

He said, staring at the TV.

I stayed silent.

Y/n: "How much have you drank?"

I said, he then lays down.

Al: "Maybe.. four.."

He said, barely able to keep his eyes open.

Y/n: "Four what?"

Al: "Uh.."

I then watched as he closed his eyes, then he fell asleep. I stood there for a few seconds, then I sigh and walk over to him, grabbing a blanket and covering him up. I then turn the TV off and go to my room, getting in bed. Maybe he'll be better tomorrow.

•The Next Morning•

I shift around as I woke up, then I sit up, rubbing my eyes. I look to my side to see that Alex wasn't in here. I get out of bed and go to the living room to see him still asleep on the couch. I sigh and turn back around, going to my room. I grab some clothes and take a quick shower, then I get out and do something with my hair. I then heard on the baby monitor, Iris was waking up.

I go to her room and see her standing up, looking at me. I smile and walk over, picking her up.

Y/n: "Good morning, Beautiful."

I said, pushing a piece of hair out of her eyes. She smiles, rubbing her eyes. I giggle and place a kiss on her cheek. Then I take her to the kitchen and dining room, putting her in the high chair. I just grabbed some Yogurt and sat with her, feeding her a little. As I was feeding her, I hear footsteps come towards us. I then look behind my shoulder at Alex.

Y/n: "Hey."

All he did was throw his hand up, walking over to the fridge. I watched as he grabbed a beer out of it, which I didn't notice when I got the yogurt.. we never have any alcohol in that fridge.

I turn back and look at Iris, continuing to feed her. Then I realized that I have to go to the studio today for a photo shoot.. I know Alex can't watch her, he doesn't seem right. Once he walked out of the dining room and went to the living room, I picked my phone up and texted Chloe to see if she would watch Iris. She agreed and I took Iris to get ready when she finished eating.
