•Chapter 12•

•A Few Hours Later, Y/n's POV•

She's perfect.. was the only thing I could think about while I looked down at my babygirl. There's not a thing that isn't perfect about her, her nose, her cheeks.. just perfection. I smiled as I rubbed my finger back and forth on her soft cheek, then the doctor came back.

Dr: "She's so beautiful."

She said, I look up at her with a smile.

Y/n: "Thank you."

I said, looking back down at her.

Dr: "Do you have a name?"

She said, I nodded, telling her the name.

Dr: "That's perfect."

Then after preparing a few things, she asked if I wanted everyone to come in, and I said yes. So she went to get everyone.

•Zach's POV•

It's been at least 6 hours since everything happened and I've just been walking back and forth to try and get my mind off of it. It's in the middle of the night and Jonah, Jack, and Daniel left but told me to update them whenever I find out anything. Corbyn decided to stay because he didn't want to leave me alone. Chloe and Layla are still here, but Kaylee left because she had a shoot in the morning.

As we were waiting, a doctor finally comes in.

Dr: "Are you guys here for Y/n?"

Za: "Yeah, is she ok?"

I said, immediately wanting to know.

Dr: "Yes, she's perfectly fine.. follow me."

She said, then we followed her to a room, she opened the door and I walk in to see Y/n laying in bed with a baby in her arms.. then I instantly realized that it was mine.

La: "Oh my gosh.."

She said, I then walked over to Y/n, kneeling down.

Y/n: "She's here."

She said, looking at me. She.. I have a daughter. I looked at y/n, then back down at the baby, she looks so peaceful. I myself was a little speechless, I didn't expect for this to happen.. but I'm very happy it did.

Y/n: "Wanna hold her?"

She said, I nodded.

Za: "Yeah."

She then hands her over to me and I held her. I sat down in a chair beside of  Y/n, just staring down at the small baby. I couldn't stop smiling, Layla then walked over to Y/n and gave her a hug.

La: "Even though it's not my birthday anymore, it's still the best birthday present ever."

She said, causing y/n to laugh a little.

Ch: "What's her name?"

I then look up at y/n, as I was wondering the same thing.

Y/n: "Well, I decided on a name that Zach picked.. Iris."

She said, looking at me, I smiled, looking back down at her.

Co: "It's perfect."

He said, walking over beside me and placing his hand on my shoulder.

Co: "She looks just like the both of you."

Za: "She's just perfect."

I said, staring down at her adorable face.

Y/n: "I know.. I think she has your nose."

She said, I chuckled. Then I finally let someone else hold her, I handed her to Corbyn and he began to gently bounce her.

Co: "You are so cute."

He said with a smile. I smiled as well, then I turned my head to look at y/n, she looked exhausted. I walk over to her and bend down, giving her a hug.

Za: "You did amazing."

She giggled as I pulled away.

Y/n: "It wasn't so fun.. but it was definitely worth it."

Za: "Definitely."

I said, looking over at Corbyn and the girls, admiring Iris.

Za: "Thank you for choosing my name."

I said, looking back down at y/n, she smiled.

Y/n: "Of course."

The doctor came back in and y/n wanted me to sign the birth certificate, so I did. I was more than happy to. I then sign her certificate and we decided for her full name to be Iris Mae Herron. Being honest, if I were myself just a few months ago, I would be surprised that y/n is letting me do all these things.. but I'm just glad I went to talk to her that day, because now I get to be in my daughters life, and I'm overly excited.

•Y/n's POV•

About an hour goes by and Corbyn and the girls left, so now it's just Zach and I, along with Iris. Zach is sitting in the chair beside me, holding Iris, he had a smile on his face the entire time he was holding her.. he's definitely happy, and so am I.

Y/n: "You know you don't have to stay if you're tired."

I said, he looked up at me.

Za: "It's fine, I'd rather be here anyway."

He said, looking back down at Iris. I smile, then remembered what had happened just a few hours ago.. when we were rushing here, and he was by my side, telling me everything was going to be ok..

Y/n: "Thank you."

I said, he then looked up at me, a little confused.

Y/n: "Thank you for getting me here.. the doctor said if it were just a few hours later and I didn't give birth, there was a possibility that I could've died.."

I watched as his face softened.

Za: "Well, I wouldn't have let you died.. you know that."

He said, looking me directly in the eyes. I nodded.

Y/n: "Oh, and sorry about your hand.. I know I probably squeezed the life out of it."

I said, laughing. He laughed as well.

Za: "No, it's fine.. I would've let you squeeze it more if only I could've been here through it all."

He said, his smile slowly fading.

Y/n: "I'm sorry.."

I said, feeling bad.

Za: "It's fine, at least I'm here now."

He said, running his finger down her soft cheek. He smiled when she moved a little, causing me to smile as well.. I honestly don't think I've ever seen Zach this happy before.. but I'm glad he is. And I'm very glad that he wants to be involved.. I can't believe I was just going to push him out of our lives forever.. or Iris's.. she obviously needs him. What kind of mother would I be to not let her father see her?

I can tell they're going to have a great bond..
