•Chapter 16•

•Y/n's POV•

Alex came to pick me up and he drove us to a fancy looking restaurant just by the beach, we got out and as soon as we met each other at the front of his car, he took my hand and we walked to the entrance. We got a table outside so that we could see the view, which was amazing. We sat there and had an amazing conversation, we laughed, joked, and just had an amazing time.

Y/n: "I still can't get over how beautiful this view is.."

I said, looking out at the sunset and ocean.

Al: "Yeah.. I still can't get over my view."

He said, I then look at him to see him looking directly at me. I couldn't help but burst out laughing.. but he did too.

Y/n: "I'm sorry that was just so corny."

I said, catching my breath, he finally caught his as well.

Al: "You have to admit though, that was pretty good."

He said, raising his glass up.

Y/n: "Yeah, sure."

I said doing the same, clinking our glasses together. As the night went on, we got our food and ate, then we began having another conversation.

Al: "So.. what are your plans for the future?"

He said, looking me in the eyes.

Y/n: "Well.. I plan on being the best mom for Iris, and hopefully getting a new manager so that I can still model without having all this pressure."

I said, just being completely honest.

Al: "In my opinion, you're already the best mom."

He said, I smiled.

Y/n: "Thank you."

I said, he nods.

Y/n: "So.. what are your plans for the future?"

I said, taking a sip of my beverage.

Al: "Hmm.."

He hummed, thinking.

Al: "Maybe become a surf boarding champion."

He said, I laughed and so did he.

Al: "Nah, all jokes aside, I don't really know what my future holds.. but as long as you and Iris are in it, I know it will be great."

He said, I could tell he was being serious.. we sat there looking into each other's eyes.. then I sort of snapped out of it.

Y/n: "Thank you, Alex.. for everything."

I said, he smiled.

Al: "I'm always here."

He said, I smiled and looked out onto the beach.

Y/n: "Hey.. do you wanna go walk on the beach?"

Al: "Sure."

He said with a smile, then we paid for our food and left the restaurant. As we were walking on the beach, I couldn't help but feel the urge to just grab him and kiss him.. but at the same time.. something was telling me not to do it.. and I knew it was the thought of Zach.. which was why I had to do it.

Y/n: "Hey, Alex?"

I said, stopping. He stopped and turned facing me.

Al: "Yeah?"

He said, looking me in the eyes. Then I finally grabbed his face and pulled him into a kiss. Once I did, I felt my heart start to pound and it felt like I was released from something.. something that had been on my chest for a long time.. Alex kissed me back and placed his hands on my waist, pulling me in more. The longer the kiss lasted, the more I had felt free.. it was like I had something hanging onto me this entire time. But now I'm finally moving on.
