•Chapter 13•

•The Next Morning•

I wake up to the sound of Iris crying, I sit up and felt a pain in my lower stomach from where I'm sore. I then looked over at the couch where Zach was laying, asleep. But then he woke up as well, sitting up. He saw that I was in pain and couldn't get up, so he got up and went over to Iris, picking her up, gently bouncing her.

Za: "Shh, why are you crying?"

He said, softly. She calmed down a little, then I watched as Zach's face lit up.

Y/n: "What?"

Za: "She's opening her eyes."

He said, walking towards me. He then placed her in my arms and we both stood there, watching as she opened her eyes. She then looks at me and I smile.

Y/n: "Oh my gosh."

I said, getting excited.

Za: "You're so beautiful."

He said, placing a soft kiss on her cheek. I did the same right after he did, and after a while of admiring her, she started to cry again.

Y/n: "Why are you crying?"

I said, placing her on my knees and swaying them back and forth, hoping it would calm her down. But it didn't.

Za: "Um.. so what do we do?"

He said, looking at me.

Y/n: "I don't know."

I said laughing a little.

Za: "We've never done this before."

He said laughing.

Y/n: "Maybe she's hungry?"

He shrugged.

Za: "Maybe."

Y/n: "Oh, could you do me a favor?"

Za: "Of course."

He said.

Y/n: "Can you go by my apartment and grab the hospital bag? It's next to my bed."

Za: "Yeah."

He said grabbing his car keys and phone.

Y/n: "Thank you."

I said as he walked to the door, walking out. I then began to feed Iris and she calmed down. I guess she was hungry, it took her thirty minutes to finally finish. Then once she got done, I lifted her up, placing her on my shoulder and began to pat her back. Once she got done with that, I placed her back on my knees and swayed her back and forth. Which put her right to sleep.

Then I heard a knock at the door, and it then opened to reveal Alex.

Al: "Hey."

He said, walking in and shutting the door behind him.

Y/n: "Hey."

I said with a smile.

Al: "I heard you were in the hospital so I drove here as fast as I could."
