•Chapter 14•

•The Next Day•

It's the next day, and today's the day that I get to take Iris home. Zach's been here the entire time and he's taking us home. He even carried her in her car seat up to the apartment, once we got in, he sat the car seat down on the kitchen counter and unbuckled her.

Za: "Let's get you out of this thing."

He said, picking her up.

Y/n: "Thank you, again for bringing us home, Zach."

I said sitting everything else down on the table.

Za: "Of course, I'm always glad to help."

He said, I walked over to the couch and sat down. Zach sat down as well, still holding Iris.

Then I suddenly got a text, I looked at it to see that it was from David.

Y/n: "David just said that we could make Iris public.."

I said, Zach looked at me.

Za: "Well.. do you want to now?"

Y/n: "I guess, just to get it over with."

I said. Then we took Iris to her room and laid her down, taking pictures of her. Zach and I chose one picture for both of us to post, so we did. We instantly had notifications flooding in, but we decided not to look at them yet. I wanted to rest for a while too. So we went back to the living room and sat down. Zach was holding Iris while she slept on his chest.

Then suddenly he got a call.

Za: "It's David."

He said, then answered it. I listened as they spoke, then Zach finally hung up.

Za: "He wants me to come in the studio right now.."

He said, sounding upset.

Y/n: "Oh.."

He sighs.

Za: "I don't wanna go."

He said, I understand how he feels though.. David's only thinking about himself right now, he isn't letting Zach have the time to be with Iris.

Y/n: "It's ok, Zach.. you can come back tomorrow or even tonight if you're off.. but you also need to rest."

I said, he nods.

Za: "Well, I'm gonna go."

He said, sitting up a little.

Za: "Bye Iris, I love you."

He said, holding her up and placing a kiss on her nose. She made a noise that made Zach and I both laugh, then he handed her to me.

Za: "If you need anything, let me know and I'll be right over. I don't care what David will say."

He said, getting up.

Y/n: "I will."

I said, smiling a little. Then he said bye and left, leaving myself and Iris here alone. For the first time we're officially alone, no doctors, no guests.. it was actually nice. I was getting really tired so I got up with Iris and took her to my room, placing her in a little pillow bed that I had for her on my bed. Then I laid down, getting in the covers beside her. I then fell asleep once I saw that she was asleep.

I shift around as I was waking up, then I open my eyes. I sit up and look to my side to see Iris's pillow empty.. I immediately freak out, but then before I could get out of bed, the door opens.. and I saw Zach walk in with Iris in his arms. I was shocked and just sat there..

Za: "Oh, you're awake."

He said, walking towards me.

Y/n: "Zach.. when did you get here?"
