Tristan's POV

With a smile on my face, I gazed at my phone, engrossed in the video that incessantly looped across the screen.

This cherished video had remained with me throughout the years, accompanied by the collection of pictures we had taken together on that unforgettable day.

That day, one of sheer bliss, had etched itself into my heart as one of the happiest moments of my life. It had become a treasured memory, an invaluable gem in my mental treasure trove.

However, I acknowledged that it would forever remain just a memory, never to be relived in reality. Despite my fervent desire to turn back time and be reunited with her once again, I knew that all I had was this indelible memory.

And that's precisely why we hold memories so dear. We cherish the moments we spent with the people we hold dear to our hearts, knowing that these recollections are all we have to sustain us when the physical presence is no longer attainable.

"Tristan, boo!" Alyssa's sweet voice pierced through the noise of my phone, echoing with excitement as she captured me on video, my head resting on the bar of the rotating booth.

That day remains etched in my memory as vividly as if it had happened yesterday.

The sound of her voice remains incredibly alive to me, as if it were happening in the present moment. It evokes the same emotions as when we first met, resurrecting the authenticity of that initial connection.

However, the bittersweet reality is that it's merely a remnant of the past, and we all bear the knowledge that we can never truly return to that time.

"Oh, Trissy, boo boo!" Her voice erupted into a loud yell, causing my instincts to kick in.

In the video, I responded with a low growl, my attention swiftly turning towards her, noticing that she had a phone capturing the entire scene.

Even though I did not want her to video me, I was glad she did because of times like these. They served as cherished reminders of the times when her gentle voice was an integral part of my everyday life.

When I realized that I was being recorded in the video, I promptly straightened up, attempting to project a composed demeanor for the camera, clearing my throat to regain my composure.

"W-what are you doing?" I asked her nervously.

"Smile! Show me how happy you are!" I growled at her. "Aren't you enjoying the ride?!" Her voice tweeted.

I chuckle, hearing how happy she was even when she was sick.

That made me sad thinking about it.

She was going through so much, yet she managed to smile and make us all happy.

"No-" I was lying when I said that because I was happy every second with her. There was not a dull moment with her.

Everyday with her was like a party.

"I will fuck you up!" She groaned out between clenched teeth with annoyance.

I smirked at her. "I wouldn't mind, though..."

"Bitch! Anyway! Are you having fun?!"

I nonchalantly shrugged my shoulders in the video observing her face flush with a charming blush.

It was an utterly endearing sight, one that stirred my heart with a delightful flutter. "Not at least-" I managed to say, my voice tinged with a hint of playfulness.
