Chole turned around to look at me properly, waiting until I spoke.
I kept lying on the bed because I didn't have much vitality to sit.
Sighing, I slowly spoke. "A few days ago, mom and I went to my doctor, and we found out that it has gotten worse. My tumor is at stage four," I removed my eyes from her because I couldn't watch the pain that she would have written all over her face.
That was the reason why I didn't want to tell her or Ashley. They couldn't handle it, and they would be too worried about me, as was my mother right at the moment.
There was silence after I told her, and I didn't dare to look at her, then soon after, her arms went around me.
Her body pressed over me while she hugged my body at the same time I heard my bedroom door open, then I heard footsteps and hands go around us.
Ashely must have heard when I was talking. "I am sorry," she whispered sadly. "I heard when I was eavesdropping."
Unexpectedly I started sobbing in their arms. It pained being said and keeping in.
Even more when you knew you might die and leave everyone you loved behind, especially when they already lost so much.
The worst part was I didn't know when I might die, and it scared me.
"Oh, don't cry, you're gonna make us cry," Ashley said, laugh-crying, and I chuckled, sobbing.
I couldn't control myself.
"I already started," Chole said, sniffling.
I shook my head. "I am sorry," we stayed hugged in each other arms for a few more seconds.
They pulled back, wiping away their tears. "Please, let's not cry," Ashley said, wiping away the tears that kept coming.
"Yeah. And let's talk about the fact that Tristan and his Musketeers slept over," Chole wiped her eyes, chuckling and sniffling. "That's way better than crying."
I gasped, looking at each of them with shock.
Wait, what? Did she say...
"Hold up. Really? When? How?"
They sat next to me. "Oh, girl, you have to hear all the details..." Chole grinned.
"Well, Jax fell asleep on the floor downstairs, but Tristan and Brendan weren't down there. We came up here and saw all three of you asleep," she chuckled, and I abruptly sat up in bed.
Don't you blame me!
"When did they leave?" I asked, still bewildered by what I heard from the girls. The Tristan Pierce slept over!
"This morning," Chole laughed.
My eyes swole from their sockets. "Omg. I never realized....omg," I was speechless. I slept with Tristan... You know what I meant, and I wasn't talking about that, you dirty-minded weasels.
"Yup. Y'all were cute in one bed. Brendan was lying across the bed at the bottom end, and y'all were at the top. You guys were close too," smirked Ashley, and I groaned, covering my face.
"I can't believe it, my face must've been a mess, and he saw. Tristan will make fun of me...'' I groaned.
They both laughed. "Not if he likes you, or if he likes you, he would make fun of you. Boys are complicated," my eyes bulged from my sockets.
What did they say? Like really?
"L-likes me?'' I repeated with hesitation.
They all nodded vigorously at me, grinning. "The way he was staring at you last night!"
