Yoongi lays in his bed, tossing and turning as he tries to get comfortable.
He sighs in content and lets his eyes flutter closed. He's been looking forward to a nap all day.
He feels the empty space in his mattress dip down and he opens his eyes to see Lucy laying on her side, her face inches from his.
"I knew I'd find you here," she says quietly.
He groans and closes his eyes again. "I'm tired."
"Go to sleep, baby. I'll just lay here and watch over you," she whispers, caressing his cheek with her thumb.
He clears his throat. "That's weird."
"You know what's even weirder? The other boys have been calling you my boyfriend," she says, her thumb now trailing down to trace the line of his jaw.
Yoongi's heart skips a beat. "Why would they say that?"
"Because they know I... enjoy your company."
His eyes slowly open and focus on her face in the dull light emitted from the lamp behind him.
"You enjoy all of their company too," he says quietly, rolling his eyes.
"Sure, but you're my favorite."
"Okay," he scoffs and pushes her hand away. "Let me sleep in peace, weirdo."
He closes his eyes again but he doesn't feel her get up.
He sighs in defeat and opens his eyes, seeing her watching him intently.
"Stop that," he whispers.
"You're so handsome," she says, reaching up to rest her hand on his cheek.
"I'm not in the mood for games right now, Lucy," he says, trying to push her hand away but instead she moves and is now hovering above him, both hands cupping his cheeks.
"I'm not playing games, Min Yoongi. Are you really this stupid?" she snaps.
"What?" he asks, confusion etched on his face as his heart pounds.
"Idiot, I love you."
She... what?
"Huh??"
"I said..."
She whispers so softly before leaning down and pressing her lips to his, smiling into the kiss.
"I love you."
She pulls away, trying to look at his face but his hands wrap around her and pull her back down to him, capturing her lips once again.
She laughs softly as she rolls over to her back, pulling him on top of her as she wraps her arms around his neck.
He kisses her passionately, desperately hoping this isn't a dream.
But he's never felt more awake.
He gently pulls away, his lips still brushing hers as he whispers to her.
"I love you too, Lucy."
"Shit. Really?" she yelps.
"Now who's the idiot?" he smirks, resting his forehead against hers.
"I thought... I don't know. I just figured you hated me for everything I put you through."
"In reference to something a certain someone said before, you're the girl of my dreams."
She laughs loudly, her whole body shaking in her fit of giggles.
"Lucy," he whispers gently, his lips ghosting over hers again.
She immediately stops laughing, eyes now solemn as she stares into his gaze.
"Your voice echoed in my dreams for years. Hearing you talk about the most nonsensical and unimportant things. You drove me crazy, but I still found myself looking forward to falling asleep. Usually, sleep is a way for me to feel numb. But your voice made it so much more. And when you stopped talking to me with your beautiful voice, I thought you were dead. And I missed you. I missed you every day. I desperately wanted to hear you complain about your ruined outfits and messy hair."
Yoongi leans forward and presses his lips to hers again for a moment, making sure that this is indeed real before sighing in content and continuing.
"When you came back, I was so angry with you. I was so hurt because you made me think you were dead. And then here you come, skipping into our lives in your own little world driving all of us crazy. And when I found out your plan, I was broken all over again. Because I felt like you didn't care. That you never cared. I felt like you'd never care about me the way I cared for you. So I betrayed you. And Lucy, I swear I will never be able to express how sorry I am. It is without a doubt the biggest regret of my life. Even though you definitely got me back for it."
He shudders at the memory and this time, she leans up and kisses him before mumbling "sorry."
"Even though you weren't yourself, my heart still felt so happy seeing you alive. And when we got your soul back, I knew without a doubt that I would never leave you again. No matter what. Even if you hated me. Even if you didn't feel the same. I'd still be here with you through anything."
He sighs, feeling the weight of the world lift off his chest as he finally confesses how he feels.
She smiles softly up at him, her thumbs rubbing against his cheeks.
"I love you, you beautiful, stupid girl," he whispers, smiling widely as he kisses her again and again as she giggles underneath him.
"I love you too, baby."
"I have a question," he says suddenly as he comes back to his senses.
"Yes?"
"Why the fuck do you smell like sweat and sex?" he scrunches up his nose in disgust as he rolls off of her.
She sighs. "Namjoon."
He sits up straight in his bed and glares over at her. "What the f-"
"Cute," she laughs as she sits up and kisses him softly. "I visited Namjoon and I sat on his bed next to him. His nasty, freshly used bed. And then I danced with a sweaty Hoseok right afterwards."
He frowns.
"You're still my favorite, love," she reassures him as she gives his lips a quick peck before standing up.
"I'm gonna go home and take a shower and then I'll come back all fresh and clean. Okay?"
Yoongi clears his throat as he stands up and walks over to her.
"You can use my shower if you want."
"Min Yoongi, you man whore!" she gasps dramatically and they both laugh as he scoops her up in his arms and carries her towards his bathroom.
"I love you, Lucy."
"I love you too."
