Chapter 13

Tenma's POV

I walked around the store, looking things to buy Y/n. I was going to confess to her in three days. Fei was keeping Y/n distracted so that she wouldn't be able to see me buying her all of these things. I was currently in a jewellery shop. They had so many beautiful necklaces and bracelets. I didn't know which to buy for her.

"Need help?" I heard a lady say. I looked up and saw it was one of the workers.

"A-ah.. yes please. I have a crush on this girl and I was wondering which necklace I should buy her." I said.

"You should get this one. You can customise it and put a picture of you and her in it. See?" She picked it up and opened the heart which was on the necklace. There was a blank space which I'm assuming the image would go in.

"How long will it take for that to be done?" I asked.

"A day or two."

"I'll take it then!" I said. The lady smiled and we had a conversation about what picture I wanted in it.

"Thanks again!" I said, waving at her. As I left the shop, I heard my phone ringing. I answered it and out it to my ear.

"Hello, Tenma speaking." I said. The person who called me didn't say anything,

"Is anyone there?" I asked.

"Oh, sorry. Y/n was talking to me about something!" It was Fei. "Are you going to come over now or are you not gonna come today?"

"Well I'm kinda busy.."

"Busy with what?" I could hear another voice say. That voice belonged to Y/n.

"U-uh... oh would you look at the time! I need to go to the uh... school! Bye-bye!" I quickly ended the call.

No! Why did I do that? I shouldn't of done that!

Fei's POV

"Oh. He ended it." I said, placing my phone on the table. I looked over at Y/n and saw her frown. "Is something wrong?" I asked. She nodded.

"Ever since we all went to the beach, Tenma has been avoiding me.." she said. "I think it's because I kissed him on the cheek."

"H-huh? You kissed him?!?" Y/n nodded.

"Yeah, that's probably why he's been avoiding me."

"I'm sure it's not because of that." Y/n looked at me and sighed.

"I've liked him ever since the day after we went to the arcade. He was being so nice to me. I couldn't help but fall in love with him." She said. "But now he's avoiding me and it feels like I'm being tortured because he isn't with me. It's like he hates me now."

"He doesn't hate you, knowing Tenma he's never really hated anyone."

"Then explain why as soon as I started talking to him on the phone he made up some stupid excuse to end the call."

"How about we stop talking about Tenma and buy icecream?" Y/n immediately nodded and went over to the door to get her shoes.

"Hurry up Fei!" I chuckled and put on my shoes. We both left the house and practically ran to the store.

We arrived there and Y/n headed over to where the ice creams were. I decided I would buy some snacks for us. I walked over to where the crackers were and grabbed a box.

"Psst! Fei!" I heard someone call my name. I looked around and saw Tenma.

"Oh, Tenma!" I walked over to him and smiled.

"Aren't you meant to be with Y/n?" He asked.

"Oh yeah, she's looking for ice cream right now." Tenma's eyes widened.

"I thought you were going to keep her distracted while I was out!" My smile dropped.

"Oh shoot! I forgot! Just run out of here, okay? Come back when you see me and Y/n leaving. We won't be to long anyways, maybe like a few minutes." Tenma nodded and ran out of the store. He hadn't bought anything so it was okay for him to run out like that. I walked over to where the ice cream was and I saw Y/n holding a tub of ice cream.

"Got the one you wanted?" I asked.

"Mhm! We can share if you want!"

"Wait you were going to have the whole thing for yourself?" She nodded.

"I'll have a bit I guess." We went over to pay and left the store.

Timeskip

Tenma's POV

So, change of plan. I've received the necklace this morning so I decided it was best if I confessed to her today, I woke up at 5am to get the necklace and I was pretty early for school. Fei was going to spend the next two days at Raimon before he has to go back to the future. Currently it was 7:45am and almost the whole team was at school. It was just Fei and Y/n who weren't here. I was sitting on a bench, looking at the necklace.

"I hope she likes it! I'll give it to her after I confess." I stared at the necklace and smiled.

"What's in there?" I heard Hikaru ask.

"I'm going to confess to Y/n today so I'm going to give her this." Hikaru nodded and walked away from me.

Hikaru's POV

I need to tell the team! They're all going to be so mad he actually did that stupid dare. I mean, we're all like a big family, including the managers. If any of us go into trouble or anything, we'd back each other up. I can't let Tenma do this. I'm sorry Tenma, but it's for the best.

I ran to the club room and slammed the door open. Everyone flinched.

"Woah Hikaru! Did something happen?" Aoi asked. I nodded.

"Guys.. remember about the dare Kariya gave Tenma?" Everyone nodded.

"Are you talking about the one I said as a joke and like a few weeks later I told him it was a joke on the phone?" Kariya said. "Even if he didn't hear me say that I'm sure he's not stupid enough to do it."

"Well.. he's planning on confessing today." I could see Midori raising an eyebrow at me.

"What dare..?" She asked.

"Tenma got dared to make Y/n fall inlove with him and then he has to break her heart." I said. The managers jaws dropped.

"What?" Akane said.

"Wait, but if he's going to confess, doesn't that mean he likes her?" Hayami asked.

"Or, he could be confessing to her to see if she likes him so that he can reject her." Shindou said.

"Y/n has a crush on Tenma, I'm sure of it. Why would he do such a thing?" Aoi said. I shrugged.

"Guys, I think we should stop him." Everyone nodded and we all headed out to look for Tenma.
