Chapter 14

Your POV

Me and Fei were walking to school. It was 8am right now and we were kind of late to morning practice. It didn't really matter though, we have half an hour left until practice is over. We entered through the gates and headed to the soccer building.

"Y/n, can we go to the soccer field for a second? I want to see if everyone is there yet!" I nodded and me and Fei went over to the field.

"Huh? It's only Tenma there." I mumbled. Tenma looked at me and smiled. He had a rose in his hand and also a box.

"Y/n! Come over here for a second!" I nodded and went over to him. I stood in front of him and he seemed to be blushing.

"I-.. I got this for you." He handed me the rose while blushing. I felt my face become hot.

"T-thanks.."

"I also got the necklace for you.." Tenma opened the box and revealed a necklace with a heart on it. "Open the heart."

I picked up the necklace and opened the heart. Inside of it was a picture of me and Tenma.

"This is the first picture we took together.. well Aoi took it." I smiled at the picture. "What's all this for?" I asked. I could see Tenma take a deep breath.

"Well.. I just wanted to let you know that.. I really like you." My eyes widened.

"It's okay if you don't like me back, I just really wanted you to know that I have feelings for you. I've developed feelings for you ever since that day after the arcade." Tenma confessed. He was blushing and looked away from me.

"I.. I like you too, Tenma." I whispered. Tenma finally looked at me, he looked like he had tears in his eyes.

"R-really?" He asked. I nodded.

"I've liked you ever since that day you helped me when I got hurt while we were playing soccer. I didn't understand the feeling at first. I'm just glad you also like me back." I confessed.

"So.. L/n Y/n, will you be my girlfriend?" He asked shyly. I nodded and he hugged me tightly.

"Thank you.." I heard him whisper. We released from the hug and he placed his hands on my waist. He began to lean in and so did I.

"STOP!" I heard someone yell. Tenma removed his hands from my waist and we both looked at the person who yelled.

"Sangoku-senpai?" I said. I could see the whole soccer team standing behind him. Aoi ran up to me and grabbed my wrist, pulling me away from Tenma.

"Don't trust Tenma!" I raised an eyebrow at Aoi. "He's doing it all because of a stupid dare that Kariya gave him!"

"Dare..?" I muttered.

"Even ask the whole team! Everyone was there when Kariya dared him to do it! It was when me, you, Akane and Midori decided to leave early. Apparently the boys were playing a game of truth and dare when we left and that's when he got dared." Aoi said. She let go of my wrist. I could feel my heart shatter into many pieces.

"I even told him not to do it, I don't think he heard me when I said it though. I told him to do the dare as a joke. I didn't actually think he would do it. Knowing Tenma, he would probably feel bad. I didn't think he would take the dare seriously." Kariya said, walking up to me.

"So he doesn't love me?" I asked, tears filling my eyes. Kariya nodded slowly.

I looked at Tenma and he seemed scared.

"You lied?" I asked quietly.

"N-no! I really do love you!" Tenma stuttered.

"Then why? Why did you do the dare?" My voice cracked when I asked him. All Tenma did was look away.

"I'm sorry.. Y/n.." he said, walking closer to me. He tried to hug me but I pushed him away.

"Don't call me by my first name." I said. I felt a tear drop onto my cheek. "I'm sorry, but I hate you Matsukaze Tenma. You didn't have to lie about liking me. I actually thought you loved me. You didn't have to fake it.." I felt more tears escaping my eyes. I began to walk away, I decided to go to the club room and sit there for a while before class starts.

"Y/n wait!" I heard Tenma call out, but I ignored him.

I entered the club meeting room and sat down. I began to cry. My head was on the table infront of me and I was sobbing loudly. I heard the doors open and I heard their footsteps coming closer to me. They sat beside me and rubbed my back.

"It's okay, Y/n." It was Shindou who sat beside me. "I'm not really good at comforting people but I'll try my best." I lifted up my head and hugged him, burying my face into his chest. He stroked my hair slowly.

"Keep crying, it's okay, just let it all out." He whispered. I continued to cry. "Shall I hum a song for you?" I nodded and he began to hum.

"I'm assuming it was your first love?" He got no reply.

He pushed me gently away from his chest and wiped my eyes.

"Maybe you should clean up in the bathroom and head to class now, I don't want you to be late." I nodded and walked to the door.

"S-sorry about your uniform.." I pointed to his now wet soccer uniform. He chuckled and said it was okay. I walked to the bathroom and washed my face.

Matsukaze Tenma.. i hate you.

Sorry if it seems rushed!! I just don't know how to write a proper sad moment ig 🥲🥲 there will be maybe two more chapter of this book until it will be finished! I'm Surprised I didn't discontinue the book at any point.
