Yuna stared at her two best friends from afar; a red hue began to graze her cheeks as she watched the two boys spar. The power, intensity, and utter gracefulness both exuded frequently left her speechless. They were so powerful, and neither of them seemed to understand the gravity that their power held. The trio would come to this training ground every day except when they had a mission. Shisui, Itachi, and Yuna had a bond the village found could not be broken.
Yuna let out a yelp as she was snapped out of her daze by her Sharingan-wielding best friend, who sat inches away from her face. Yuna gazed over his features as his eyes scanned her face looking for an answer to her sudden aloofness. His sharingan flared as he checked Yuna's body language looking for any hints as to why she was reacting so weirdly to something that was incredibly normal for him.
"Shisui!!" Yuna huffed as she attempted to maintain her balance on the branch she was sitting on. "I have told you numerous times not to analyze me with your eyes like that." So she spoke as her blush deepened.
"Are you okay? You zoned out again. It's always fun to make you flustered when I catch you out of it" Shisui let out a giggle, grinning a mischievous smile as the sun settled on his skin, causing a beautiful glow and his eyes to shine.
"One of these days, I'm going to accidentally hurt you." Yuna's response caused Shisui to laugh even harder, as her face now matched the color of Shisui's sharingan. Was he really going to be this arrogant about his power in front of me?
"Yuna," Itachi called from the ground below, "How is it that your mother is a legendary sanin, yet Shisui always manages to catch you off guard?" Yuna's anger-fueled eyes turned her gaze down to Itachi; he stood at the foot of the tree, staring up at the two with amused eyes. Two of their best friends were sitting in a tree. He debated leaving the pair alone but ultimately decided against doing so as Shisui started talking to his best friend, who sat on the tree.
"It's your turn," Shisui sang, which led to Yuna furthering her annoyance towards him; she hated when Itachi and Shisui ganged up on her like this. Of course, she knew to expect it since they had had the same behavior since childhood, but she was still annoyed. Don't even get me started on when I started my period for the first time. These two were utter idiots.
"I hate you both," She mumbled as she jumped down the tree, ensuring she took Shisui with her. Unlike those two, Yuna often didn't seem to land as gracefully but would smash into the ground like a rock to scare them whenever she wanted to. The ground rumbled beneath her feet as the two boys jumped up, avoiding the earthquake her body seemed to cause. This was a behavior she had picked up from her mother. Shisui struggled to regain his footing, which caused a giggle to escape her lips at the sight of him working.
"Who's first?" Yuna yawned as she stretched out her limbs while looking at the two. Shisui sweat dropped at Yuna's act. He knew damn well she knew who was first.
"Not it!" Shisui called, putting his finger to his nose. Yuna's gaze drifted towards Itachi, and she immediately ran at the boy. Time to see how he's improved and surpassed me at this point.
"Alright, Ita-kun, show me your worst." She rolled her eyes and went to throw a punch at Itachi, but he immediately blocked her fist and went to strike with his own at the opening. Yuna ducked before kicking his leg out before the duo was interrupted.
Yuna's favorite silver-haired ninja jumped down from his hiding place in a tree that was very noticeably close to their training ground. He waltzed over, crossing his arms, and his eyes held a mischievous look as he stared at the lot of them.
"Oi, Itachi, Yuna, Shisui, we have a mission; get ready to meet at the gates before sundown," he stated so casually, causing Yuna to groan. They had just finished a mission yesterday, it wasn't even noon yet, and our poor protagonist was still exhausted. Sometimes she just wanted to train to spend her time with her friends. Yuna loved being in ANBU, but damn did she find it rough sometimes; they are always the ones sent on missions. But that's the life of prodigies. Her entire team was just prodigies. Each graduated the academy before age 10, and each was pushed into ANBU the second they became chunin. Team Ro was truly stacked with powerful ninjas.
