"Obito, we're not done talking!" Kakashi's voice rose as he watched the Uchiha try to slip away towards the door. He silently cursed himself after his unsuccessful attempt and turned around to face the irate Hatake.

"Force of habit, I guess..." Obito muttered sheepishly, rubbing his neck as he tried to find a way out of this situation. Having one person know his entire truth made him uneasy, but telling his childhood best friend/nemesis? The feeling made Obito unnerved.

"Care to explain? What happened to you?" Obito knew Kakashi would be upset, but for some reason, Obito never exactly imagined telling him. He did not want to feel guilty about telling Kakashi about his atrocities.

"Kakashi, I'm not ready to talk about that. If you want to know, you can ask Yuna; she's the only person who knows everything." Obito countered, his voice wavering as he tried to finish the sentence.

"I don't want to hear it from Yuna. I want to hear it from you, Obito." Kakashi's blunt response was enough to send Obito into emotional turmoil, his deepest hurts coming to the surface at Hatake's insistence on discussing his past.

On the other hand, Obito's silence was angering the silver-haired Jonin. Kakashi wanted answers from Obito, and while he understood Obito's uncomfortableness with the subject, he had truly hoped the two could at least reunite. Now he was frustrated with the Uchiha and his unwillingness to talk.

"I didn't die that day, but I did when you murdered Rin." Obito let out a snarl at the thought, while Yuna had helped him to understand Kakashi did not mean to murder Rin. Nevertheless, it still happened, and the opportunity to ask Kakashi the one question he had always wanted to ask had finally been presented. "Why did you kill her?"

All the silver-haired man could feel was anger; for years, he had felt so condemnable for Rin's death, Obito's death, and Minato and Kushina's deaths. But here, Obito was alive and well. Kakashi ostensibly felt furious for every moment he spent hours talking to Obito at his gravesite, even in the rain. Obito gave him his eye. How could he treat him like a stranger?

"She put herself in front of my chidori Obito! I couldn't prevent her in time! Do you think I actually would have ever hurt her?! I had already lost you. I wanted to protect Rin with my life." Kakashi had officially yielded his dispassion, the emotions of betrayal overwhelming him. His rage lit like a fuse on a cannonball hurtling directly for Obito Uchiha.

ANBU spent days trying to recover his body. So how did Obito make it out alive? Kakashi had never felt truly at peace with Obito's death, knowing Obito's body had never been found. He had never expressed that to anyone, though. Kakashi also couldn't help feeling betrayed by the Senju; before she was kidnapped, Kashi had quite a crush on Yuna. But, unfortunately, those feelings were squashed after seeing her cuddled up with Obito.

Obito had never seen Kakashi this angry, and while Obito couldn't count the number of times, Kakashi had screamed at him. Obito comprehended then that he had intensely hurt his teammate, and while he was still angry over Rin's death, something about hearing Kakashi say it was an accident made Obito question his own anger. "But you killed her, Kakashi; you killed Rin."

"Obito, how do you even know about Rin?! You were supposed to be dead. Better yet, explain to me how you are alive?!" Kakashi threw his hands in exasperation at the scene before him; Obito had to have known this was coming. You can't just tell your friend, "Hey, I'm alive! Bye!" and expect that to go well.

"I watched you kill her! I was there! Zetsu told me!" Obito yelled, exasperation deep in his voice, his deep annoyance with Kakashi not understanding the gravity of his actions.

"Did you see what happened beforehand? Where they kidnapped her and put a tailed beast inside of her? Then, when I started chidori and ran at the enemy, she ran in front of me! So Rin's manner of death was listed as a suicide." Kakashi's voice wavered as he told the tale to his former teammate. "I went after her, Obito; I tried to protect her, I tried to save her, and I am sorry, I am so sorry." Obito had begun to let loose tears slip down his face. His short sniffles and the watery eye were enough for Kakashi to wipe a stray tear of his own from his own sharingan.
