The two teleported back to their shared home. The early morning rays shone through the windows as the couple appeared in the living room. Yuna smiled at the house as she let out a contented sigh. Finally, finally, she was home.
"Would you like any breakfast?" Obito asked. A light blush began to coat his cheeks as he gazed at the tired woman beside him.
"I want to sleep, Obito; I'm tired." Yuna sniffled, feeling like a child. She shuffled towards the taller man as she fell into his chest, exhaustion taking over her body.
Obito stood in shock as he stared at her, now resting against his chest. The blush on his cheeks grew even more. She's the most beautiful woman I've ever seen, he thought to himself. Then, bringing his arm around her head, he pressed her petite body into his chest and gently kissed her head. Serotonin flooded his chest as she idly sighed into his chest, her smaller arms embracing his torso.
Obito removed her arms and hoisted the young woman into his arms, carrying her through the house. Occasionally, he glanced at her facial features when the sunlight hit. She is way too good for me, Obito thought as he stopped in front of her door.
His eye darkened as his gaze fell to his arms again. He began to shake as he suddenly held Rin's dead body in his arms, still struggling to escape the gruesome memory. The faces of his sensei, Kushina, the Uchiha clan, and many others flew across his mind, and Obito's breathing became unsteady. Sweat began to pour down his face.
"Gomen nasai, Gomen nasai," he whispered, clutching the body tighter. Buried feelings of self-hatred welling as his heart rate increased.
"Obito, it's okay," the woman sleepily sounded as her dark eyes opened to peer at the man before her. "You're safe now; it's okay," Yuna whispered, wrapping her arms around his neck.Obito's trance broke, and he regained his footing as he stared at Yuna, his singular eye meeting hers. Obito felt nothing but adoration. In all his darkness, he could find the light inside Yuna. He wondered if she saw him the same way too.
Obito remembered meeting her at the Summer Festival; she and Shisui had been children. That was right before his "death." He didn't recognize her until he almost killed her the first time.
Obito opened the door and carried his woman to bed, laying her on the dark sheets. He stared at her for a moment before kissing her forehead.
"Let's go to sleep," Yuna demanded, yanking him onto the bed with her. He was now on the other side of the bed, completely astonished at her pure strength. She was half awake...
"Yuna? You just threw me?" Obito whispered as he lay on the bed, sunlight streaming through her window, and beams of light danced across the small room.
"Sleep, please," She muttered before turning her body toward him and kissing his cheek. Obito reddened again, the soft hue creating a beautiful painting for the kunoichi to see. Yuna's eyes lit up, and Obito instinctively leaned in; his nose grazed hers as breath danced between parted lips. A blush adorned Yuna's face, her eyes widened, and her breathing hitched.
"I'm going to kiss you. Is that okay?" Obito whispered, his singular eye flitting between her eyes and her lips. A warm feeling began pooling inside her chest at his proximity, the sweet amber scent lingering between them.
"Yes, please."
Obito's lips crashed into hers like a tidal wave crashing onto the beach. Every nerve ending in her body lit up like a fuse as she eagerly embraced his kiss. His hands moved to her face to cup her cheek, his mind racing a mile a minute. He didn't know if he was doing anything correctly.
