"Good morning everyone!" The teacher said cheerfully. "My name is Miss Wendy, and I'll be teaching you from now on."

She looks like a good person, I thought.

"So, to begin with, if you are in this school, then you should be 16 and about to receive your form and element," She said. "I know most of you knows which forms and elements there are, but in case you don't, let me explain."

"There are in total 4 forms and 5 elements. The most common form is the cat form, which you see I am one. The bunny form is next, followed by the bear form. The rarest and the most powerful form is the wolf form, also known as the Alpha. In each form, there are the 5 elements. The least powerful is the wind element. Then comes water, like me, then fire, then dark, and then finally the most powerful element: light." She smiled. "The principal here is a light Alpha."

Amused murmurs rose around me.

"So, does anyone have any questions?" Miss Wendy asked. I stayed silent.

I didn't want to make a fool out of myself, but my biggest worry was swimming in my head. I need an answer.

I raised my hand.

"Yes, Nella?"

"What happens if... if you don't get a form or an element?" I squeaked. Heads turned towards me. The room suddenly turned quiet.

Miss Wendy stared at me for a few seconds, then forced out a smile. "Usually that won't happen, and even if it did, it's either you didn't get your form or your power. But don't worry, you will still get to stay here."

I gulped a little. That... was not very reassuring.

I have a bad feeling about this suddenly.

Allison snickered. "Figured it would her who asked that pathetic question."

"I wouldn't get too cocky if I were you, Allison," Miss Wendy said sternly. "Maybe the formless or powerless one would be you."

Allison turned red. Peppi tried to suppress a smile. Caleb laughed a little. Then he raised his hand.

"Miss, how do you know our names? We didn't even introduce ourselves."

"Ah, glad you asked!" She said. "My power is reading others mind, which includes your private information. But don't worry, I won't expose your secrets. Which brings us to the next part." With that, she took a cup of water and turned it upside down. But instead of splashing onto the ground, it was levitated in the air, controlled by Miss Wendy. Then, with a few hand movements, the ball of water morphed into a mini cat statue. My jaw dropped.

"Aside from the power I told, I can also control water and turn it into whatever I like. That's the common power among those who got the water element."

A shrill bell rung.

"Alright class, time for a short break. Afterwards, it's your time to get your form and element!" Miss Wendy smiled again.

                                                                      **************************

"Wanna walk for a while?" Caleb asked me and Peppi.

"Anything to get away from those two bitches," Peppi glared towards Allison and Audrey, who was smirking at us. I just nodded, too flushed to say anything.

For the first time, I looked around the school. It was neat and tidy, quite spacious, with many corridors and classrooms. Those who already got their powers were mostly showing off, and those who didn't were whispering nervously.

"Now come to think of it, why did Allison call you 'Caleb-baby'?" Peppi asked.

"Because," Caleb sighed, "Our parents know each other, and they want her to be my fricking wife. How fortunate."

"So, uh..." I piped up. "You don't want to be her husband?"

"I would rather eat poop than date her," he said. "I just want a normal life, with normal friends. Not some billionaire's son and girls who just want to date you for your money."

"Well, maybe we can be your normal friends," I twirled my hair nervously. Caleb looked at me. Then he smiled.

"Sure."

Oh good lord, I almost fainted again.

Beside me, Peppi is smirking.

"Soooooooo," she started. "Do you have a real crush on anyone, Caleb?"

"Well, no, not yet," he said. "But I do hope I find someone who loves me for me."

"Here's your chance, Nella~!" Peppi whispered.

"Shut up," I smacked her arm slightly.

"We better get back now, it's time," he said. That brought me back to reality.

"I hope I do get a form and element," I mumbled softly.
