"Adrien Smith."

We were going alphabetically. I sat in my seat, trying to relax.

Adrien was just as nervous as me. His forehead was drenched with sweat.

After a while, his patch of white turned green, and a pair of cat ears and tail sprouted from his head and his behind. A mark in the shape of a leaf appeared on his right cheek. He exhaled loudly.

"A wind cat! Congratulations!"  Miss Wendy grinned.

"He got the lowest from and the least powerful element, and that teacher is congratulating him!?" Allison whisper-shouted to Audrey. Audrey laughed an ugly laugh.

I glared at them.

"Agate Wood."

She giggled on her way out, eager to receive her form.

Her patch of white glowed red, and bunny ears popped out from her head. She whirled around, trying to see her fluffy tail. The fire mark was printed on her right cheek.

"A fire bunny! Very nice!" Miss Wendy commented. She giggled even more.

"Allison Lee."

Allison rose from her seat, and walked slowly to the front, her high heels clanging against the floor, deliberately annoying Miss Wendy. I gritted my teeth, trying hard to resist the urge to punch her in the face.

She turned to the class dramatically, and waited with her hands on her hips.

The patch of white turned yellow, blending with her shiny blond hair. Wolf ears appeared on her head, and a bushy tail grew behind her. The mark of the sun glowed on her left cheek. The three of us rolled our eyes.

"A light Alpha! Excellent!" Miss Wendy said. Allison sneered to the entire class. It was clear that she would use this advantage to bully others.

"Audrey Liu."

Audrey walked the same way as Allison, slowing her steps to annoying us. Copycat.

She was a dark wolf. I supressed a sigh. At least she isn't the most powerful one.

"Caleb Magnificent."

He glanced at us with a nervous look, then walked to the front. Allison blushed so deeply her skin was bright red. Audrey giggled beside her. All the other girls stared at him.

No doubt, he was a light Alpha, though his patch of yellow didn't fit with his sea-blue hair. We both congratulated him when he sat back down. He didn't look particularly happy.

"That'll give even more reason for Allison to be my fucking wife," he groaned, not bothering to change the swear word. "And for all those girls to drool over me."

I tried to tone down the churning in my stomach. I have a bad feeling about this.

The rest passed by really fast. I zoned out as one by one, they all received their form and element.

"Nella Daniels."

I jerked from my daze. It was my turn.

Peppi patted on my shoulder as I clumsily got up from my seat. Allison and Audrey both snort.

With each step, I felt like a stone adding to my burden. The churning grew louder than ever.

Please let me have a form Please let me have a form Please let me have a form...

I turned to the class and waited.

Please let me have a form Please let me have a form Please let me have a form...

Miss Wendy looked at me, smiling.

Please let me have a form Please let me have a form Please let me have a form...

One minute passed. Two minutes passed. Nothing happened.

Miss Wendy's smiled faded.

I looked up, and my patch of white was still white. No ears on my head. I turned to see my behind. No tail. No anything.

"Ah..." Miss Wendy finally said. "This... is unexpected."

The room was silent. Everyone stared at me. All I could do was stand there.

Then the laughing began.
