"Pack up."
Finally, this k-drama finished. I went back to the parking lot where Jungkook was attending a call with his back at me. I tip toed with a determination to scare him out of nowhere.
I was about to shout 'boo!' but his raised voice collapsed my intentions.
"I know mom wants to meet her but I'm not so sure if it's a good idea. Your retro plan of dumpling shop didn't worked. Now, I have to find my own way."
I mentally scoffed because the only person he was talking in dumpling shop was Hyejin while I sat like a statue. Of course, it was her. I leaned closer to hear his conversation because it was too tempting to neglect.
"I don't wanna lure her. She doesn't need m-"
He turned around and I lost my balance, landing my head on his chest while hands clutched to his suit for the dear life. I pulled back and gulped the nervousness, looking anywhere but his eyes.
"I'll call you back." He cut the call and put it inside his blazar. With an awkward laugh I slide into the passenger seat like a very obedient child, caught in stealing another candy from the jar.
He joined in, letting the topic slip as it would only create troubles that we hated. I turned on the radio and the RJ was annoying the headlines.
"Result of the infamous audition from Starlight will be announced soon but form inside source he got shortlisted names which are- Lee Kia, Seo Soojin, Kim Y/N, Choi Shinji and Han Suzy. All the best for the final selection."
And a series of music played afterwards.
Everything was fine. Or I thought so until now. Kia was Jimin's current girlfriend and we had many heated arguments in the past. I knew that she would definitely bite me back but I never thought she would be competing against me. As a professional artist, I had to admit that she had amazing acting skills, she was born for spotlight.
But I wasn't a spot-boy either.
She was a challenge and I loved challenges. I ran my fingers through my hair and pulled down the window, sneaking a bit of my head out to feel the breeze as it hit me up ever so softly.
"Congrats, I see my artist addressing the paparazzi as the upcoming lead." I chuckled. "It's too early to say that."
Yeah, it was too early to predict who would survive because competition was hard but I had hopes that I would make it.
On weekend,
I bit my nails in nervousness because the news was about to flash in the official website of the entertainment company. I had my laptop on the table, in front of the television which made no sense. I was literally anxious but my secretary was relaxed. He was calmly sitting on the chair sipping his banana milk since afternoon. It was the fourth pack.
"Loosen up, you got this."
I rolled my eyes because the countdown was out and three, two, one...
"Lee Kia makes it to the movie. Congratulations to the beauty queen on gaining another accomplishment." That voice fuelled my anger when I saw the portfolio of Jia stretching on the desktop with the role written next to her name.
Female lead.
With closed eyes and heavy sigh I sinked on the couch with disappointment that I didn't got the role but it was her. A girl who once was nowhere but now insanely beat me up in my own stream.
"Oh it can't be." I opened my eyes and Jungkook was too close. His jaw was an inched apart from my lips. He walked around the couch and sat beside me, even had the nerve to nudge my butt with his to make space. He placed his banana milk on the table and took the laptop on his lap.
