I whined, mumbling nonsense while my body rolled over the white sheets. Again, I tossed myself to other side when my body was shook beyond normal.
"Wake up! You'll miss your first walk."
Then my eyes shot open. Oh yeah, a high school senior with dreams of becoming a public figure, fame and money, self-dependent and a great life. How was I supposed to do it? Yeah, going to any opportunity that came my way unless inappropriate. I didn't mingle with illegal business, I had dignity to maintain.
Right now, Ahn Hyejin , my company agent had enough and pulled me at once, on my feet, standing straight with dizzy mind. "Freshen up, can't believe you drank at eighteen."
I chuckled with a hangover. "It's Paris, my lady. The city of love which makes you go wild."
"And stupid." She ushered me into the bathroom and before shutting the door she said," You're parents would kill me if they found out. Go, get yourself look better."
I brushed then stripped, definitely the clothes go for laundry. I stepped into the bathtub and took a quick bath then wearing that white bathrobe I exit the enclosed space, back in the bedroom where I found my clothes kept on the bed.
I was amazed at how precisely she worked. Three years of age gap didn't did justice at how wonderful she was at her job, especially helping a rookie like me in a new land of foreign gestures.
Untying the robe I slipped into the dress after wearing inner wears. Knocking then bursting in the room like she owned it before stuffing my mouth with a ham sandwich. I wanted to protest but the taste if cheese was so inviting that I focused on munching it.
She pulled me behind her and we left the room. On our way to elevator she put on her sunglases then gave me a stern look. "You look devasted. I should have stopped you from going clubbing."
I swallowed the bolus and shook my head. "No, it was the right decision. I feel free, away from restrictions, away from parents." I winked at her just when the doors of elevator grabs our attention. We walked into empty lift where she pressed the ground level button.
She glanced at me over her shoulder and said," I cannot believe in an hour show will start and you've just woke up."
"Can't help. However, hotel is near the site. A lovesick concept, isn't it?" We both giggled at something so hypothetical, love.
She nodded," Yeah, but makeup would take time. Also, don't go there bare face, at least not on your debut project." She handed me a red lip gloss. I took it and applied over my lips while holding the sandwich in another hand, from which I had only taken two bites yet.
"Come on, we gotta grab a cab." She pulled me our as soon as we reached at ground level. We dashed out of the hotel in the most uncivilized way as if apocalypse had occurred. She was more impatient but I could sense her concern for my career.
When we stepped under the blazing sun we got another shock of the day, today was cab strike, that means it was difficult to grab a cab with English speaking driver because I had started learning French since last weekend.
"Oh God." I sighed before splitting away to manage ourselves any vehicle to drive us to our destination. It wasn't easy and with each passing second I was getting anxious. I wasn't that nervous few minutes back but now, it's different.
That's when my eyes fell on a taxi with a yawning driver. Great! If not French, I could manage with my Asian instincts.
"Oh no!" I mumbled when I saw a lean man with dangling raven locks covering his eyes and an undone tie around his creased suit, clutching a briefcase with a set of papers running towards the taxi which was in the middle of our distance. Actually, it was him who called for it but who cared? I didn't.
I had to do something, anything. It was in the name of my career and I could not risk anything right now. A wild idea popped in my brain and I immediately ran towards the same metal frame.
"Street 4, Avenue holdings." He announced in a raspy voice that took my breath away but before he could open the door I grabbed his wrist and pulled him away from the door. I pressed my back against the door and pulled him in a deep kiss.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen I lost my first kiss.
I did it to a stranger in Paris, on the side of the road from where the Eiffel Tower was visible above the tip of a building on the other side of the road. It would've been so romantic if I had a boyfriend or maybe a husband but due to my hangover I lost it to someone I would never meet again.
I sucked his lips because vanilla was one of my favorite flavours and he seemed to had eaten something in that flavor. I heard his briefcase fall on the pavement and a smirk curved my lips upward. I pulled back with uneven breathing and then shoved my ham sandwich in his mouth.
I smiled watching how bewildered he was. His bed hair was messy covering his eyes but his red cheeks did pointed how fluttered he felt that moment.
I grabbed his chin and pressed my lips on his cheeks to leave the last apology, leaving red imprint of my moist lips on his blushing left cheek. He was tensed the whole time until I backed off.
"Thanks for the cab, bébé."
I opened the door and asked the driver to move on. The cab drove away while I saw that man still on his spot with my ham sandwich hanging between his lips while he was touching his left cheek.
Poor man. Looks like he was also late but I snatched away his drive. I felt guilty and prayed that I would never ever meet him again or I might regret.
That's when my evil side arose and told me that it wasn't that bad and pulled whatever he had was nothing as much important as me. He seemed older and definitely not a minor like me who had just started getting into the real world. He could manage. By the way a trade of taxi with two kisses and a ham sandwich wasn't that bad for a trade.
"Stop near that streetlight." Driver pulled over, confused on why I aske dto pull when we were just a block away from where I rode. The door opened and Hyejin came inside.
"Champs de Mars at 5 Avenue Anatole France in the 7th arrondissement of Paris; Now." She growled because only thirty minutes were left and we had to hurry.
Gladly, it was a famous address. The Eiffel Tower. Anyone hearing it in France knows the location near which the fashion show was hosted and it didn't took us long to reach there.
Truthfully, we arrived within five minutes and I was successful to get ready. Thanks to my not so caring father who had a big name in this industry but never cared for me in his co-parenting phase with my mother. The same goes for her, a business tycoon unlike a fashion designer father I had. Only thing they had comman was cold personality and money with pride above the horizon.
How was I born?
Simple. Two drunk adults, one night stand, one mistake and one burden. My grandfather was nice. He asked my mother to not go for abortion or she won't inherit a single penny from the inheritance. Dad got the news until mom was with three months bump and it did a magic to him too. Well, he stopped smoking.
If we exclude how he never settles for one woman he was a nice person, might be rude but raw in emotions. I thought my parents were married until I found out on the television that my 'single' dad was about to get married.
Yup, it was hard for a five years old to get a hold of something so impulsive. I remember crying in my grandfather's embrace whole night near the fireplace while my mom walked out saying that her daughter needs to accept it someday and the early it is, the better.
Yes, it's me, Kim Y/N, a messed up child which was juggled between her sperm and egg donor, feeling confused after my grandfather's death at the age of ten. Since then last eight years I spend my life, more like governed it in my own way. I do whatever I want. In other words, no one cares unless I get arrested or make a fuss.
My both parents had their own family respectively, spouse and children. Although I call them family but deep down I know very little about them and they knew nothing about me.
