Y/N's POV:
"And that's all you remember?" Wanda checks.
"All I remember," I sigh. "I need to know what happened. I need to know if I do like her..."
"Kate will remember, she didn't drink much. Talk to her," Wanda suggests.
"Okay, I will. But first I'm taking paracetamol. Then I'll talk to her. Bye, Wanda," I rush out of the room before I hear Wanda reply. I take some painkillers and then go to Kate. "Kate, we need to talk."
"I agree. You first," Kate offers.
"What happened last night? I'm too pished to remember," I query.
"Ah, nothing happened in the closet. We just chatted about how rigged it was yesterday," Kate chuckles.
"Thank you for telling me. What did you want to say?" I inquire.
"Oh, nothing. It's not important," Kate gives a convincing smile.
"Okay, bye then. Talk to you later," I wave goodbye and walk off.
"Bye!" Kate yells after me.
Thank god nothing happened! I can't do that again, never again. Merely a few individuals know about the incident. Wanda is the only other one in the compound that knows. She's my best friend, that's why. I was going to tell Nat, but I ended up not because of what happened between me and her.
I change into my training clothes and go to the training room to kill some time. I hit the punch bag over and over again until it eventually shatters. I carry out another punching sack and start working with that one. "Good form," someone says behind me making me jump. "Sorry, I should not have scared you like that. My greatest apologies," Vision smiles.
"Come, come. You're fine. Is something wrong?" I check.
"I wanted to ask... You're Wanda's best friend. Does she like me?" Vision chuckles nervously.
"Oh. Sorry, though, first of all, that's not for me to disclose. And second of all, she's straighter than a flexible pencil. Back off, my recommendation to you," I explain straight forward.
"Ah, yes. I can now recall her informing me several times about desiring ladies. I presumed this was all part of a gag. Sorry," Vision quickly apologizes.
"Figures." I turn back to the punching bag and after what felt like minutes but turned out to be hours, I vacate and take a shower. After my shower, I get called for dinner. When I walk downstairs, everyone is there so only one chair is vacant. In between Kate and Wanda. Lovely.
Playful banter is thrown around until we get to the subject of Kate and me. "So, are you two dating or what?" Maria asks straight up.
I let out a lively chuckle, "love the straightforwardness. No, we have no reason to be together. And you all know that I don't want to date anyone."
"So you don't want to date Bishop, but Bishop herself is keeping real quiet. What's her opinion on you?" Yelena says making Kate choke on her food.
"Oh no, nothing like that. I'm just relishing this enjoyable meal," Kate smiles.
"Maximoff?" Tony asks. Ah, yes. The lead persecutor took his position.
"Heh, Kate is telling the truth," Wanda subdues her luminous red eyes and resumes consuming her grub.
The rest of the night is loaded with more friendly jesting. By the time we finish the second movie, it is just Wanda, Kate and myself downstairs.
"Kate, when I read your mind, I fibbed. That's not what I saw," Wanda glimpses from Kate to me and then back to Kate.
"Oh, uh, what did you read?" Kate nervously stammers out.
"You were not thinking about Y/n at all. You were thinking about Lucky," Wanda smirks at Kate.
"Ah, yes!" Kate soughs with ease.
"Wanda, you're such a tease," I roll my eyes giggling at her childishness.
"How would you know?" Wanda does a sneaky side smirk.
"Wanda!" I wither at her over the giggles of the other two girls. "If you two are going to be like this I'm heading to bed!" I stand up and cross my arms over my chest.
"Right, right, we're sorry. Aren't we Kate?" Wanda holds in a laugh as we both glance over at Kate.
"Yeah," Kate takes a deep breath to hold in a chuckle.
"Thank you!" I exclaim whilst plunking my body back on the chair I was once sitting on.
We continue talking about random stuff until Wanda goes up to bed.
"Bye, Wands!" I yell as she leaves the room.
"Bye, Wanda!" Kate follows after me.
We hear a faint 'bye' and then continue talking to each other. "Y/n?"
"Yeah, Kate?" I turn my attention back to Kate.
"At dinner, when you said 'you all know that I don't want to date anyone', what did you mean by that?" Kate cocks her head to the left a little, waiting for my answer.
"Oh. I meant-" I'm interrupted by someone walking into the room. Great, why's Tony here.
"Fury called. We have a mission tomorrow. Get sleep," he clarifies then vanishes down the corridor to where I presume he ended at his room.
"Seems this talk has been cut short. See you tomorrow, Bishop. Can't wait to properly see those archer skills of yours," I give her a friendly smile and stand up.
"See you tomorrow," Kate replies kindly and we both walk to our rooms.
I wake up in the morning and straight away pop into a quick shower. I blow dry my hair and put my superhero suit on. Time to work for a living.
A faint knock is on my door and I yell 'come in' as I pull my top over my head. "Hey, we're leaving now," Yelena softly says. "But first, what happened between you and my sister? She has weird feelings about you."
"Now's not the time, Nat will tell you if she wants," I smirk at her and walk out of the door.
"But she won't tell me!" Yelena yells after me and jogs to catch up, "you walk way too fast."
"We have places to be."
When I get out we walk to the Quinjet and Maria calls us. "Hey, everyone. Today the assignment is to invade a Hydra base. Hypotheses say that civilians have been seized and kept for ransom there. The number one priority is your protection though. Don't do anything dopey. Talking to you, Maximoff."
"Right, thanks for bringing that up," Wanda gives a fake smile.
"Okay, team. Get into partners, no one with your skill set though. Newby, you're with me," I instruct. Everyone gets into their teams and I explain the plan. "Ready?" Everyone nods. "Follow me out. Banner, we'll call you if we need you."
