Y/N's POV:
I close the gap between us. After about ten seconds I pull back and gradually back up. "Sorry."
"No, it's okay. I mean, I enjoyed it," Kate smiles at me and I feel my cheeks go bright red.
"I-I'm sorry. I'm going to leave," I motion at the door and turn around.
"Oh, okay. Bye," Kate looks at the floor sadly.
"Sorry," I say once more before closing her door. What am I going to do? I can't go down this road again. Not after last time...
"Something wrong? You're just standing mindlessly," Bucky snaps me out of my haze.
"I need to get drunk. Like, right now," I say, walking to Wanda's room. I knock on her door heavily until she answers.
"Something wrong?" Wanda worriedly asks.
"Girls night. We're getting pished. Invite any girl you want, but not Kate," I explain.
"Why not Kate?" Wanda slants her head.
"I need my mind off her," I admit.
Wanda gasps and playfully slaps my arm, "What have I been telling you!?
"Just get people. We're going to a bar," I roll my eyes playfully and walk off.
Wanda meets me downstairs and I check out the people she got. Valkyrie, Carol, Maria and...Nat. Oh.
"Ready?" Wanda checks.
"Please!" I clamour, bouncing out of my seat and running outside.
We walk to the closest bar and order some drinks. During the conversation I excuse myself to go get another drink. I walk back and Carol stares at me.
"That beer looks a bit flat," Valkyrie points to my glass.
"It's whiskey," I correct her mistake and take a big swing of it.
"What's wrong?" Carol inquires.
"Nothing, nothing," I nervously look at my glass.
"Y/n, I know you better than Wanda does. What's wrong?" Nat asks me worriedly.
"I, uh, no, nothing." Nat gives me an intense look. "I'm just confused about something."
"Nat, could you go get me another glass?" Maria asks Nat giving her puppy dog eyes.
"Sure, darling," Nat kisses Maria and stands up.
"So what's the deal?" Maria asks almost immediately.
"Kate's going on," I answer taking another gulp of whiskey. "Fuck, I'm empty."
"Have mine," Wanda hands me her pint of beer.
"Cheers." I down it almost immediately.
"Damn. Y/n's in love," Valkyrie smirks and Carol high fives her.
"Not in love. Just...it's complicated," I sigh as Nat walks up.
"Here you go, babe," Nat smiles at Maria, kisses her cheek, and hands her the beer.
"Thank you, honey," Maria smiles.
"Some dick over there was hitting on me," Nat scoffs and sips her pint.
"WHO!?" Maria yells, standing up from her seat.
"Sit down, babe. It's fine. I turned him down," Nat tries to calm her down.
"I said 'who'?" Maria states.
"Guy over there," Nat points in some direction and Maria heads off.
"She's a dork," Carol laughs.
"But she's my dork. And I love my dork," Nat smiles.
"Y/n? You're being quiet," Wanda nudges my shoulder.
"Sorry. I was thinking about my situation," I sigh.
We talk and banter about some things until Wanda drags me home since I'm "too drunk".
"W-Wanda, s-slow d-down!" I whine as she drags me to my room.
"No! You didn't handle your alcohol well and now I have to take care of you. You know, you can be so irresponsible," she sighs, opening my door and pushing me onto my bed.
"S-sorry. I-I'm truly s-sorry," I whisper.
"It's okay, you're my friend," Wanda sighs. She whispers under her breath, "for some reason."
"I-I h-heard tha-that!"
"You were meant to," Wanda sticks her tongue out at me.
"I-I'm s-so col-cold!" I blubber and wriggle right under my covers.
"Wanna cuddle?" Wanda chuckles.
"W-with wh-who?" I check.
"Kate?" Wanda tries to get me to reveal if I like her or not.
She gets no reply, I fall fast asleep instead.
I wake up in the morning to my head aching. "Ah!"
Someone rushes into my room. "Are you okay!?" Kate immediately worries.
"Yeah. Sorry, did I wake you?"
"I was already awake. Plus, my room is right next to yours, you weren't that loud," Kate assures me.
"Good. I'd hate to be an inconvenience," I sigh in relief.
"Are we, uh, gonna talk about yesterday...?" Kate nervously queries.
"Um, what happened yesterday...? I got drunk," I check with Kate.
"Oh. We kinda...We kinda kissed..." Kate sheepishly jogs my memory.
"Oh. Yeah... The reason I got drunk... What happened after...the kiss?" I nearly whisper in shyness.
"You apologized over and over again then left," Kate bethinks me.
"Right,,, D-did you...enjoy... the kiss...?" I anxiously inquire.
"Well..."
"Well? What happened next!?" Wanda rushes me.
"You're way too excited. She said that she... That she did. I kinda just awkwardly left. Oh, god. What do I do?" I sigh, placing my head in my hands.
"I'll tell you what you do," Wanda moves my hands from my face so I look at her. "You go tell her you enjoyed it too. Go get her. It's clear that you both like each other!"
"I can't do it again! Last time... You know what happened!" I almost cry at the thought.
"Oh, I know, darling. But you must move on. At least open up to Kate, and see if you can trust her. See that you can trust her," Wanda suggests.
"You're right. I'll do it after lunch, I'm hungry and we're getting food. Like, right now," I pull Wanda up off her bed and rush out the room. Wanda snickers at my childlike manners.
We both eat a B.L.T. sandwich and Wanda waves goodbye as we approach Kates's room. I lightly knock on her door. A few seconds later she opens the door, her eyes are a little puffy. Has she been crying?
"Hey," she softly speaks.
"Are you okay?"
"Come in," she invites me in, avoiding my question. I walk in and she shuts the door behind me.
"I have to tell you something," I admit.
"Anything."
"Well..."
