A Tearia walked through the bodies of Rokotai soldiers, executing anyone who was still alive. No movement or sound escaped its attention.
As it heard a shallow breath, the Tearia walked to the sound, and raised its sword to finish the unfortunate soldier. At that moment, its comlink beeped.
"Yes, master?" "Did you capture Lanzur?" came a gravelly voice. "Yes, master. The entire garrison has been wiped out, and Commander Zuron is under our control. But we lost a lot of our forces. The Rokotai fought well" the Tearia responded. "I shall determine who is strong, and who is weak. Not you. Now, the allies will soon know about this, and will come for revenge. They will not be able to break our blockade, but they will slow us down. Some of our fleet is still hunting Commander Orvelios and the Jorkal Knights. The Jorkal, Vanraael and Altaarium have put up a stiff resistance. Kveaita and Lidaer, however, are on the verge of breaking. Destroy Rokotai, and attack them. Commander Elsurn will reinforce you soon" the voice commanded. "It shall be done" the Tearia said, and the call cut off.
"Return to the ships. Wipe the Rokotai out" it ordered.
As the remaining Dyrakos strike force gathered on their warships, plasma rained down on Lanzur and the surrounding areas. As the majority of the Rokotai forces not linked up with their fleet was there, all of them were destroyed, along with everything in the vicinity.
The strike force jumped to ultra speed.
...
Commander Teitar observed the Dyrakos army as it marched on Tauron. The Kveaita capital was well defended, but they were outnumbered nearly three to one. She knew they would not be able to hold them long enough for other allies to reach them.
She sensed the former Xoer commander, Kaer Elsurn, and saw him in the front, along with a Tearia. Its presence would make defending almost impossible, due to its resistance to magic.
"Insae luvitium illiaras" Teitar said, turning herself invisible, and took off from the tree, speeding back to Tauron.
Several hours later, the Dyrakos army came in range, and the cannons mounted on the walls unleashed a volley of sunbeams, shredding the vanguard, though Commander Elsurn and Tearia remained unharmed, due to the former's powerful magic, and the latter's incredible speed and agility. The few shots that hit, the Tearia simply withstood, and kept going.
The cannons kept firing, however, and dozens of soldiers and tanks were wiped out. At that moment, a Dyrakos fleet appeared above them, and the fighters fired on the cannons, blowing many of them.
"Lyran" Commander Teitar said, taking down several fighters with burst of lightning. "Ruonar illiaras." Beams of light launched at the attacking ships, blowing through a corvette, and severely damaging a frigate. But it was not enough.
The orbital cannons fired on the fleet, destroying many ships, but several Dyrakos destroyers disabled them, along with many soldiers on the parapets.
Once all of the cannons were taken out, the fleet departed in the direction of Lidaer.
The Dyrakos army launched forward, quickly reaching the walls. The remaining Kveaita soldiers fired on them, but it was futile. The first wave got up on the parapets, distracting some soldiers, though Commander Teitar helped fend them off.
More came, however. "Eoren" Teitar sent a volley of fire balls at them, killing them instantly. She felled several more with darkness and air attacks. She froze another group, and drew the energy out of the remainder of the wave.
The soldiers kept coming, and Commander Elsurn was leading them. The Tearia had apparently left with the fleet.
"We haven't met for a long time, Commander Teitar. It's a pleasure to be here" Elsurn said. "Don't flatter yourself, Kaer. You betrayed us" Teitar replied, drawing her sunsword. "Betrayed? I merely sided with the strong for the defense of Xoer. It was the Lidaeri, Rokotai, and you, who attacked us without cause. If you had just let us get rid of Lidaer, our war would have ended, and we would finally have peace. But now, all of us will suffer" Elsurn said. "Peace? The Dyrakos would have forced us under its control. The Lidaer are the reason we are still free. Without them, we would have been beaten. We must come together, that is the only way we can defeat Dyrakos" Teitar said. "You don't understand. All that we want is peace. The only way to achieve that is to break the Aervel Knights. Once they are gone, this fighting will finally stop" said Elsurn. "Enough of this. Only one of us shall survive this battle."
Teitar attacked, showering Elsurn with flurries of sunsword strikes. Kaer defended with his own sunsword, and said "Kalkar", sending her back with an air wave. He launched his own offensive, landing several hits on her shoulders, though her armor protected her. "Spular streokal" Teitar launched at him, nearly overwhelming him. "Aoros" he said, separating them with a stone wall. The wall came down and he attacked, matching her increased physique. She poured more energy into the spells, and he followed her example. Teitar kicked him in the shin and slammed the pommel of her sunsword into his sternum.
He enveloped his fist with lightning, and struck her in the chest, throwing her back. As she got back to her feet, he wrenched her energy flask with air, and shattered it with his pommel. Teitar said "Lyran!", but her remaining energy quickly left her, and the flow of power cut off. She only had her sunsword to rely on now.
"This battle is almost over. Surrender, or I'll be forced to terminate you" Elsurn said. "You will try" Teitar said. "Very well." Elsurn sent out his own lightning, which Teitar blocked with her sunsword. She attacked, deflecting more bursts. Elsurn met her with his sunsword, forgoing his magic for the moment.
The two clashed, as the walls were breached, and the remaining members of the Tauron garrison attacked the invading army. Kveaita tanks fired on the attackers, killing many of them, but they were overwhelmed.
Teitar knew she was losing, and thus, tried the only thing that could give her an edge. She ducked under Elsurn's cleave and slammed the pommel of her sunsword into his jaw. While he was unbalanced, she snatched his flask and sent him to his back with a low kick. She gulped down the liquid, and attached the flask to her belt.
Before the enemy could surround her, she unleashed a blast of light, killing the nearby soldiers, creating some breathing room. She rounded up the remaining Kveaita defenders, and they rushed to the hangar. They jumped into a ship and exited. Teitar's mental attacks created confusion in the enemy forces, allowing them to slip through, and retreat to ultra speed.
