Commander Zuron woke from his meditation, and once more, the scent of food laid out before him tempted him to take a few bites. Still, he did not move. There was a powerful drug in the food, and a few bites of it could leave him dreary for days. He had just barely managed to avoid it, through focused meditation, that allowed him to remain alert. Still, the lack of food had weakened him, and he desperately needed a reprieve.
Fortunately, the constant fighting for Korukal distracted the Dyrakos to the point that his cell was left largely unguarded. No more than 4 soldiers were posted at any given time, and usually only 2. At this moment, there were 3. Zuron had to act quickly before they could ring the alarm.
Due to his meditation, he could now focus enough to wield magic. Only one spell would work, however-the mind spell. Anything else would take time, and would give the soldiers the chance to raise the alarm, and a few Dark Knights would come. In his weakened state, he would be easily dealt with. Thus, he said "Maera algre", taking control of their minds, and forced one of them to press the control panel, opening the cell. Zuron exited and quickly knocked them out, putting them in the cell, and locked it.
He moved silently through the prison hallway, and finally got to the armory. 8 soldiers stood guard. Zuron looked around for any alarm panels, and spotted one. "Insae inhaar", he said, and closed the distance. He opened the door, and searched for his sunsword. He quickly identified it by a faint golden glow, and retrieved it. He put the 8 soldiers inside, and closed the door. When he was far enough, he released the spells, and rushed to the hangar, as silently and quickly as possible.
He located a fighter, and ran to it, getting into the cockpit. Zuron activated the engine, and was on his way out, when the alarms started blaring. The Commander fired on the surrounding fighters and the troops that entered the hangar, killing over a half of them. He fired his missiles, taking out the closest fighters, and said "Kressureo illiaras", tearing a few into scrap metal, with which he disposed of another group of soldiers.
Several Dark Knights entered the hangar, and rushed at him. He fired the remaining missiles, but they evaded and the missiles struck the soldiers instead.
The commotion aboard the dreadnought awakened the entire Alliance camp.
"What's going on up there?" said Tairon, as he and Lumaira went over to the front. "It's hard to determine exactly. Seems like it could be some sort of mutiny", a soldier replied. "Gather everyone. We are going in", Tairon said.
The entire Alliance fleet, with the magicians in the lead, sped towards the dreadnought. They ignored the surrounding Dyrakos ships, and attacked their flagship.
The Dark Knights converged on Zuron, and he was forced to leave the fighter and drop to the floor, amidst the Dyrakos soldiers. Before they could overwhelm him, sunbeams tore through their ranks, as the Realm forces struck. Several hundred Alliance soldiers were unloaded, lead by Commanders Etreon, Teitar and Orvelios.
"Did you cause all of this?" said Orvelios. "Yes. Thanks for the help. I thought I was done for" Zuron replied.
"All of us will be done for if this fight continues any longer. They thought it was a mutiny. We better tell them, otherwise we will be destroyed", said Commander Etreon, as he fired a beam of dark energy at one of the Dark Knights.
Indeed, once the Dyrakos recovered, they surrounded the Alliance fleet.
The wall mounted cannons opened fire, taking down a corvette and two frigates. The two cruisers and the battleship pushed through the small hole, bumping the smaller Dyrakos ships into each other, and managed to slip out of the encirclement.
As they were leaving, however, the frigate and the corvette were shot down, leaving just the battleship, and the two cruisers, all of them heavily damaged. Of the 1000 fighters that entered the battle, only 800 returned.
