There were cops everywhere as we drove out of town. Just a few days ago, Johnny and Ponyboy came knocking at Bucks door. Dally and I were sleeping over at his house for a couple of months, being that neither of us was making enough money to keep our tiny apartment. There was a lot of crying, more than I'm used to, as I held Johnny in my arms.

He had killed someone. My little Johnny had killed a human being.

Dallas handed them an unloaded gun, the rest of our savings, and told them to go to an abandoned church, where we first stayed when we got kicked out of the apartment.

I was a little nervous as Dally and I made our way up to the abandoned church at the top of a hill.  He could tell.

"Why ya so nervous, y/n?" He asked, a sheepish smile spreading across his face.

"Put that damn expression away before I punch that fucking smirk right off your ugly face." I spat, noticing how defensive I was getting. He threw his hands up in innocence and rolled his eyes.

"Probably just my anxiety or s'mh." I choked. There were a couple of reasons why I was scared of seeing Johnny and Ponyboy. First of all, I knew how cold that church was. I got hypothermia the first night of us staying there. The second reason is more of a first-world problem. I had the fattest crush on Ponyboy, and there was nothing could do about it. My crazy brother would beat his ass if he ever found out. Dally made it clear when we talked, that if I were to be treated like a boy, I could only act like I liked girls. He wasn't scared of me looking gay or nothing, he just didn't want to raise suspicion to the other greasers. That was the other thing I was worried about. I had done something against Dally's rules, and if he'd ever found out, he sure as hell would dump me on the street in a heartbeat.

As I pushed the church door open, Ponyboy's head raised a bit as he rubbed his eyes.

"Hey blondie," Dally smirked at the boy with the frizzy, fully bleached head.

"Hey Dall," he groaned, scrunching up his nose. "How ya been?"

I walked over to Johnny. I noticed that he was still wearing the jacket I had given him before he ran away. My jacket was closer to his size than Dallys', and it looked better on him, so I let him have it. He needed it more anyway.

My hand flinched a few times before I gently tapped his hand and watch his eyes flutter open.

"Oh! Hiya y/n!" Johnny smirked, his grin making me smile. His eyes were a beautiful dark brown color, which made my face glow every time they lit up. Johnny was a very attractive boy in my eyes, but I didn't really see him in a romantic light, he was only my best friend. Recently though, this made things weird- I didn't want to think about it, so I shook the thought out of my head.

"How's Soda doin'?"  Ponyboy asked, his eyes meeting mine. I look around to see if he was talking to Dally, but Dall was peaking through the windows.

"Why ya askin' me, Pony?" I squinted, teasing him before I could stop myself.

"Aw shit, ya know he likes you." Ponyboy blushed, looking at his hands as I stood up.

"Not as much as I like your hair" I smirked, running my hands through and and slightly styling it. I began to study his face. His cheekbones were immaculate and angeled his face beautifully. They made his expressions a bit structured but weren't so harsh that they stood out. I zoned back into reality by a cough let out from Johnny, who was staring at the two of us. I noticed that Ponyboy had been staring at me too, and I immediately took my hands off him, hoping that Dally hadn't noticed.
