part 6 • what are you doing here?

josh sent a small smile my way, making me smile back.

"so yeah. nothing happened between us, just my forehead getting crazy sore and him giving me meds" i explained to sarah.

"okay girl if you say so"

sarah pulled up to school today awfully happy. she definitely had a good weekend with the college boy, which made me think she was already over josh.

boy was i wrong.

when i said that you could have josh, i obviously didn't mean that. you've heard of girl code, right? i mean i've been in love with him for years!

so the fact that josh and i were so close to having sex needed to stay a secret. i also didn't want tate to find out. how would he think of me? having potential sex with two guys in one day? he would so think that i was a whore.

"hi tate"

"how are you?"

"i'm not bad. and you?"

"i'm good i'm good. is your head okay?"

"yes tate, it's fine"

"i'm glad josh took care of you"

"me too"

i could feel josh's eyes burning through tate. if looks could kill, tate would be dead.

"anyway, what do you say to going out for dinner tonight?"

"i'll have to see, i'll let you know"

"yeah, of course"

my schedule was cleared for today and i knew that. tate is great, he really is, but i really can't see myself dating him. it really annoyed me that after hanging out with josh, i don't feel anything for taitan anymore. i wished i liked him, he was perfect for me. if anything, maybe too perfect.

last period came along and we presented our project for romeo and juliet, which went great. no more study sessions for us i guess. now those were something i was gonna miss.

"hey tate?"

"hm?"

"come over to mine tonight? i'm not really in the mood for dinner but i still wanna see you"

"i can't say no to that"

"does 7 sound good?"

"sounds great"

6:30 came around and i waved goodbye to my mom and brother, who had a birthday party to attend to so they'd be gone for the next few hours. i went back into my room and put on a cute red lingerie set. the doorbell then rang.

i put on my mini silk robe, fixed my hair and rushed down.

"you can't be here!"

"nice to see you too doll" he says walking past me and into my house.

"look, i don't even know how you got my address but you need to leave"

josh sat down on my sofa and crossed his arms.

"i got you an uber home remember. oh and you look very cute"

"this isn't the time!"

i sat down beside him as he looked me up and down and smirked.

"why have you been ignoring me"

"you came all the way over here to ask me that?"

"answer my question, barbie"
