004 the monster in the basement
When Eden arrived to Heathers, she was confused to see two random girls biking up to the house. She exited her car and made her way towards them slowly, watching as the two eyed her as well.
"Who are you?" Eden wondered, looking at the red-head and the brunette. They looked at each other before looking back at her, the redhead deciding she'd be the one to speak. "Max. And you?" Eden watched them closely. "I'm Eden..."
"What are you doing here?" Max questioned suspiciously. "I could ask you the same thing." Eden replied instantly. Max shrugged. "Yeah but, I asked first." Eden chuckled a bit. "Touché. My best friend lives here and she missed work so I'm checking in on her."
"Heather?" The brunette asked lightly. Eden nodded. "Yeah, Heather." Max scrunched up her eyebrows. "Have you heard from her at all today?" Eden shook her head. "Nope. That's why I'm here."
Max nodded. "That's why we're here too. We found her fannypack and returned it to the pool just to hear neither she nor my step brother Billy had gone to work that day." Edens eyes widened. "You're Billy's stepsister?"
"You know Billy?" Max questioned back. Eden nodded. "Yeah I also work at the pool." The brunette took a step forward. "So... you haven't... heard from Heather?" Eden turned her head slightly as she looked at the girl, it seemed she didn't know English too well but that was no issue, Eden just didn't get why they had asked that again. "I haven't, no."
Max sighed. "Well, we're going to check on her if you'd like to join us." Eden nodded. "Sure." The three walked up the walkway to the Holloway house before making it to the door. The brunette girl put her hand on the door and a moment later twisted it open.
"Why would they leave their door unlocked?" Eden questioned out-loud, mostly to herself while the two younger girls gave each other looks.
They all walked in slowly, Max and her friend looking at family photos Eden had seen a million times. "This is her house." Max spoke. Her friend looked at her. "What?" Max frowned. "Heathers house."
Eden went to respond to that before her attention was taken away by the sound of laughter. All three girls began walking towards the noise and the sight in front of her confused Eden.
Because there he was. Billy Hargrove sitting at Heathers dining table with her parents. Eden walked behind Max and her friend, cautiously watching to see what was going to happen. And then all heads turned and silence fell over the room.
"Max." Billy spoke, staring at his sister. "We didn't mean to... barge in. We tried to knock, but... maybe you didn't hear us over the storm." Tom looked around confused before his eyes landed on Eden. "Eden? Who are these girls and why are you all dripping all over my living room right now?"
