031 confessions brought to light

The group silently road in the trailer as the sun set, everyone thinking about the battle they were about to face. Eden had the Walkman playing this time around, silently listening to ABBAs Kisses of Fire play as she watched out the window.

She was nervous, scared for what was to come. There wasn't much left to do besides fight, leaving every possible outcome on the table before the group.

Steve had surprised the girl with an actual jacket that he'd gotten from the War Zone store as well, having thrown it in with the other clothes the group had bought. She silently sat beside him with it now on her body, extremely thankful for just how thoughtful he'd been.

The tension only grew when the group finally made it to the Creel house, Max, Lucas, and Erica getting out with their supplies and the rest of the group driving away. It was up to them now to work on their part of the plan, and Eden just hoped that Max would be okay.

It grew dark by the time the rest of the group made it just outside the trailer park entrance, parking the trailer and only hoping they were far enough not to get caught.

Eden held her axe in her lap, watching as Nancy stood before them all. "Okay. I wanna run through it one more time. Phase one." Nancy spoke, waiting for someone to tell her the first part of the plan. "We meet Erica at the playground. She'll signal Max and Lucas when we're ready." Robin answered.

"Phase two." Nancy spoke again. "Max baits Vecna. He'll go after her, which'll put him in his trance." Steve replied. "Phase three?" Nancy wondered. "Me and Eddie draw the bats away." Dustin spoke, Eddie shaking the boys head slightly with his hand.

"Four." Nancy spoke. "We head into Vecna's hopefully newly bat-free lair, and...  flambé." Robin replied, holding up one of their makeshift projectiles. "Nobody moves on to the next phase until we've all copied. Nobody deviates from the plan, no matter what. Got it?" Nancy confirmed.

"Got it." Everyone else answered, Steve's eyes moving to Eden. "Music." She nodded, placing the headphones over her ears and pressing play as everyone gathered anything else they needed.

Eden flung her backpack around her back, following behind Steve with the axe in hand, Dustin and Eddie following her. The group continued on foot all the way until they made it back to Eddie's trailer home, running forward and swiftly entering.

Eden was just glad they'd been smart enough to buy camo clothing to go above their previous outfits.

Steve turned the light on, eyes glued on the gate as he took his bag off, throwing it to the ground. He had a matching axe as Eden's, having decided to join the girl in her choice of weapon last minute.

"Be careful." Dustin called out, looking toward the older boy. "Thanks, buddy." Steve replied, patting the boys back. "Here goes nothing." Steve then spoke, grabbing the makeshift rope and beginning to climb back into the Upside Down.
