Is...this the place?

I look up from my phone. In front of me is a building in front of me with the text

LIVEHOUSE
CiRCLE

on the front. The doors are open with a line forming all the way from the inside to the out. I was planning on going home, but for some reason, I'm here.

Looking around, I'm surrounded by groups of highschool girls talking excitingly amongst each other.

"Hey, have you heard? Poppin'Party is going to debut their new song tonight!", says one girl excitingly to her friends.

"Man, I can't wait to see Afterglow perform! Tomoe-kun and Ran-kun are so cool, right~?", shouts another.

I self consciously look down to the ground, clearly out of place. I bet I stick out like a sore thumb, right? I kinda seem like a creep.

I debate turning back and going home but stop as I see the line in front of me start to move.

"Hey, c'mon, let's go! They're letting us in!", one of the girls shout as she rushes in.

"Hey...! Wait~!"

One-by-one the crowd starts to slowly move as I'm pushed in by the people around me.

As I enter the foyer, I am greeted by a long line. Standing in the doorway, I look around the room. On my left is a rack of magazines, ranging from Rock and Metal magazines to one's about fashion and the latest "celebrity drama".

I also notice that above the rack is a pile of posters labeled 'CIRCLE LIVE HOUSE'. The material of the posters looks professional, but I somehow know that it was hand-drawn.

As I look to my left I notice a hall with doors labeled 'Room A' and 'Room B' as it heads down. That must be the actual rehearsal rooms.

As I look more back towards the door, I notice a staircase heading down. Seeing the people in front of me excitingly heading down the staircase with their tickets informs me that the live is being held down there.

"Thank you, miss!"

As the group of three in front of me leave the front, I consciously walk up to the counter. On the counter are three covers of songs, as well as a cash register. Behind the desk are many musical equipment hung up on the wall, as well as a pair of electric guitars.

The woman behind the counter smiles. "Ticket for one?"

"Ah, yes," I answer awkwardly. I look up at the girl at the counter.

Her black hair is tied into a simple ponytail. She wears a simple light-green collar shirt under a dark green apron with a name tag that reads: 'Aiko- CiRCLE Staff Member'.

"Ticket, please."

I put the ticket I was holding onto the desk. She takes the ticket, scans it, and after a second gives it back to me.

"Enjoy the show!"

I slightly bow. As I go to leave however, I hear her call out to me.

"Oh! I can see you're interesting in applying for a part-time here."

I blink. "Huh?" I follow her gaze onto the sheet of paper that is in my hand. As I look at the paper, something on it catches my eye. I read over the text.

Looking for: Stagehands, Cafe Staff, Equipment Maintainers

The words 'equipment maintainers' are specially underlined.

"Oh, do you have any experience with instruments?", the lady asks me.

I stop for a second. Why am I hesitating, I think to myself. Just say no. I should just return the ticket and leave. Why am I still here? I shouldn't be here. I should be home, doing my homework, not standing here.

"Um.."

...But, it shouldn't hurt, right? If I dislike it, I can just quit anytime, right? And anyway, Mom and Dad were telling me to get a part-time job. This shouldn't be too bad, right?

...

What would they say, I wonder? Thinking for a second, I finally open my mouth.

"Yes."

The lady's face lights up. "And what kind of experience do you have with instruments?"

I stop to think for a second. "I used to attend a music school when I was younger, and I used to tinker a lot with the instruments and equipment. I also used to play a lot of instruments, but I've practically forgotten how to."

She looks excitedly at me. "Do you think you could say... repair equipment?"

I pause. If I did it all the time when I was younger, it shouldn't be so hard now, right? Shrugging, I answer. "Sure. It's been a while, but I'm sure I can-"

"That's great!", the lady shouts. "I'll tell Marina right away, then we can set up an interview!" She briefly pauses as she looks down at something behind the desk. "Is... tomorrow, 2:45 okay? It's the weekend, so I'm assuming you're free?"

2:45, tomorrow? Oh, it's the weekend. Then I should be fine. "Yes, that time is fine."

"Great! Then see you tomorrow here at 2:45! I'm thrilled to tell Marina that we have a new staff member."

"Haha, thank you", I laugh nervously. I begin to walk towards the stairs.

"By the way, what was your name? I don't think I caught it."

"(L/N) (Y/N)."

"Well then, see you tomorrow, (Y/N)-kun~☆"

I turn away, blushing slightly. As I walk down the stairs, I can't help but feel a sense of both nervousness and excitement as I grip the paper in my hand.

This shouldn't be too bad...right?
