What am I doing here? What am I doing in this classroom? I'm so bored. There's nothing to do.
I look up at the clock above the board.
3:25.
I sigh, putting down my pencil. There's nothing to do. Right now we're doing a "self-study" period since Sensei isn't here. We're supposed to either do work that we haven't done or study for any tests coming up.
However, no one is actually doing any work. Everyone else is just talking with each other, and even the teacher watching us isn't even paying attention. What a waste of time. Why do we have to stay in here if we're not doing anything?
I put my hand into my pocket, reaching for my phone when I feel a tap on my left shoulder. I turn, looking to see who tapped me.
"Hey," my deskmate, Akira, says.
This is Akira, my friend and classmate. I wouldn't consider us friends rather than classmates who talk to each other. Apparently, our moms were best friends from highschool, so their children naturally became "friends". We don't share any common interests between us, and we rarely talk to each other outside of classes, however I do consider him someone I can talk to during classes.
"Hm?" I answer, looking at him.
Oh, I forgot. I'm (Y/N) (L/N), older brother to my little sister and son to my mother and father. I live in a normal house to my normal family, going to a normal school and living a normal life. It's so normal that some may call it boring, but I'm fine with boring. I don't really talk to anyone at school besides Akira, so I don't have much friends, but that's fine. I'm fine with how my life is going.
Akira brings up his bag, opens it and pulls out four tickets from a pocket in his bag. He hands one of them to me. "Here."
I pick up the ticket. Is this for some sort of...live show?
"What is this?" I ask.
"Just read it."
Read it? Okay. I give Akira a quizzical look then start reading the ticket.

"We were supposed to go, the four of us, but one of us got sick and we decided to not go. I was already planning on giving these three away, but I didn't have anything to give this one to." He nudges me on the arm, winking. "So I gave it to you."
"Well, thanks, I guess." I look down at the ticket.
"Oh, (Y/N), have you even heard of CIRCLE?"
CIRCLE? Definitely not.
"I haven't," I answer.
"You should go! There's gonna be a bunch of cute girls performing~"
"I don't know..." I quietly say to myself.
Suddenly, the bell starts to ring, signifying the end of class. The rest of the students quickly stand up, eagerly rushing out of the door.
"Hey, Akira," says a voice from the door. "You comin' with?"
Akira stands up from his desk. "Yeah, I'm coming," he answers, grabbing his bag.
Before leaving however, he stops and puts a hand on my shoulder. "Seriously, man. You need some time off to enjoy yourself." He points at the ticket in my hand. "It'll be fun. Trust me."
He gives me one last pat on the back as he walks out of the classroom, leaving me by myself.
"CiRCLE..." I mutter as I clutch the ticket.
Maybe...
I'll go.
