Chapter 26

KAI'S POV

I can't believe it! I got the job! I was going to start working at Tropical Smoothie tomorrow, and I would be acutally making my own money. This would be my first job and now I don't have to worry about Harry paying for my stuff. I swear I felt so bad for everything he bought for me. Anyways but now I'll be able to save for a car and everything! I felt like I was maturing and growing up. I know that when I start college it might be difficult but as of now it felt great. Jeff went over the rules, what's expected of me, he handed me my work clothes, and went over a bunch of other stuff. I didn't really pay attention because I was so excited but most of it was common sense, right? I shrugged mentally and waited for him to be done lecturing. After what felt like a while Jeff announced he was done and that I should just rest and wait until tomorrow. I smiled as we said goodbye. I left Tropical Smoothie and walked to where Harry had parked and saw him through the window sitting at the driver's seat. He was looking down on his phone while he tapped the wheel with his other hand. I smiled at him although he couldn't see me. I approached the car and opened as I sat in.

"How did everything go?" He asked.

I wanted to joke around, "I didn't get it." I sighed.

"Oh.." He said awkwardly.

I started giggling, "Kidding! I got the job!" I said.

He started cheering, and laughing, "Don't do that, it was awkward for a bit!" 

I smiled at him, "So what are the hours?" He asked.

"Well for now before I start school, it's from 7-9 every day, for the next two weeks besides weekends, but that's for now. When I start school it will be less." I explained.

He sighed, "Less time with you." He mumbled.

I blushed, I would miss him a lot too to be honest but I felt my heart flutter when he would miss me too. When he will be on tour it would be easier, I will be busy with school and work and he will be busy touring. It will be there to keep our minds off each other. I nodded my head slowly,

"Yeah I know but on the bright side we still have tonight! Unless you're doing something?" I asked a little timidly.

"Nah, we could do something tonight, what are you up for?" He asked.

I shrugged, "No clue." I honestly answered.

He drove us back to my house. I walked inside with Harry following right behind me. I turned to face Harry and he looked nervous or upset in a way. I was confused and was about to ask him what was wrong before he said,

"We need to talk Kai."

That was something you never want to hear. What did we need to talk about? I mean did I do something wrong? I'm so confused. He lead me to the living as we sat down on the couch. It was awkward at first but Harry said,

"You know how I'm going on tour in two months?" 

I nodded still not seeing where this could be going.

"Well... we kind of have to leave in two days because we head to our first location to promote more of our album before the tour..." He said worried.

My heart sank. Two days only? Two days until he leaves me all alone. I knew he was going to leave eventually but that was in two months but now that time frame sank to two days. He knew all along? He didn't tell me? Why wouldn't he? I didn't want to jump to conclusions but I did want to jump off a bridge. What would I do when the boys are gone? Especially when Harry is gone. I began to shake uncontrollable and tears threatened to spill.

"How long did you know?" I whispered, my voice cracking.

"Found out this morning." He croaked.

Shit. He just found out. I looked at the wall in front of me and suddenly they became very interesting to look at. I can't believe he was really leaving. I wanted him to stay here with me.
