Chapter 10 Arrival

Arthur Leywin POV

As the world around me warped away a new scene appeared in front of me. A large cylinder room appeared built with stone and supported with metal pillars. As I excited, I saw two guards on either side of the teleportation gate dressed in full iron armour with a large iron helmet covering their faces.

I looked at their cores one was at the dark silver core wiles the other was at solid yellow. I saw Gramps signalling me to come with him and Aldir we walked up a set of stairs then excited through a set of large metal doors that took two soldiers to open.

As we walked through the large lavishly decorated castle Gramps and Aldir had every passing person bowing towards them on a long walk all three of us remained silent. After a ten-minute walk we finally made it to the doors that led to the war room it was the same room I had been trilled in a few years ago and where I became a white core. The doors where slowly opened to reveal a familiar room but the lay out was different now the elevated platform were the council had their long desk was now gone, replaced by one large circular table.

They are a total of thirteen seats nine of them having people sat in them. The people currently in the seats where the human council members Blaine and Priscilla, the elf members Alduin and Merial, the next six people I recognized as the six lances but one of the dwarf lances was different. If I remember, the other one was a small girl how looked more like a young human child if I remember correctly her name was Mica Earthborn did something happen to her.

Gramps and Aldir then sat down on the other side of the table.

"Come on brat sit here." Gramps said as he patted the seat next to him.

I walked up to it not looking at any of the other people sat around the table, but I felt their eyes following me. I then sat down and looked across the table at the other members and lances. My eyes looked at Blaine first, He looked twenty years older than he did his long red hair now had strikes of grey his eyes had large bags under them, and his face had many wrinkles on it he was dressed in the normal human noble clothes with a black suite with a black dress coat on which had mana beast fur on the shoulders.

His wife Priscilla wore I simple white dress her hair was let lose at the back of her head apart from large bags under her eyes her appearance hadn't changed to much it was the same for Merial as well, but it was probably because they both had makeup on. Merial was wearing a white elven rode with green detailing.

Alduin was in a similar state to Blaine his hair was a mess his face had wrinkles all over it and his eyes had large bags under them. He wore a black elven style rode with silver detailing around the arms.

I then looked over to the Lances all of them wore the white military uniform the lances had come to wear often when they were making public appearances after they were first announced. Alea and Olfred where both giving me a gentle smile wiles Aya looked at me with her normal seductive smile. Varay just stared at me with a stoic face and Bairon looked at me with contempt the new dwarven lance looked at me with curiosity.

The new Dwarf lance was a girl with long dirt brown hair and brown eyes she had a solid build with muscles that looked like they were bursting out of her uniform her hair was cut short going to the bottom of her face.

"Hello Arthur, it's very good to see you again I hope your training went well." it was Alduin who spoke wiles looking at me.

"Yes, your majesty it went very well I hope to be of as much help as possible during the war." I said in a stoic voice while looking back at him.

"Please Arthur you don't have to call any of us by are title we gave the title of royalty up just call is by are names from now on." Merial said getting a nod from Alduin and Priscilla wiles Blaine just looked at me with interest.

"You sure have grown boy I hope your height isn't the only thing that has changed but your strength as well." Blaine said a bit of interest coming from his voice.

"Yes, Arthur I also hope your stronger tho I can tell you are a lot stronger." Aya said wiles staring at me.

"Yes, I'm currently still at the white core but since I didn't use the artefacts I can still go further and within the next year or two I should be able to reach the integration stage which is the level the Asuras are at." I said getting a look of surprise from everyone even Aldir looked at me in surprise.

"To think a lesser like you would be able to be at that stage at your age it is very impressive." Aldir spoke covering up his look of surprise.

"Well, that's what I would expect from one of my best soldiers." Blaine said it annoyed me that he thought I would be one of his lances.

"No offence Blaine but I have to intention of being a solider for one race, but I would consider myself a solider for this entire continent." I said letting a bit of mana into my voice to get my point across. He looked at me with a slight bit of rage in his eyes, but he covered it up quick but I'm sure most people saw it.

"Anyway, where here to discuss Arthur becoming to next lance of this continent, he will be the seventh lance." Gramps said I could hear a bit of proudness in his voice as he said it.

"We have everything sorted and in two days we will have a big announcement in Etistin bay where the Alacryans ships are predicted to dock." Merial said to Gramps.

"Ok great Arthur any questions." Gramps asked.

"Actually two, first who is that last seat for."

"Oh, that's for Rahdeas he is the Dwarf representative he couldn't make it today but will be at the announcement and the second." Gramps answered.

"I thought the other Dwarf lance was a girl named Mica and I don't think that's her."

"Oh, right we never told you...... a few days before you had your trial Lance Mica was on an expedition in the A class dungeon Hells jaw, she was found by adventures unconcise not far from the dungeon she was unconcise and severely injured.... after being brought back here she has lost her left arm and her mana core was shattered. We have suspicions that it was a retainer or Scythe that did it." Gramps said in a solemn tone.

"This is Rel Crimlock she is the new Dwarven lance." Gramps said.

"It is very nice to meet you then Rel." I spoke.

"Yes, you to General Leywin." she answered in a gruff voice.

I just nodded at her I never knew Mica but to think we had already lost a lance such a long time ago. After that we all split up and I was shown to my room.

I walked up the long corridor being guided by an Elf maid to my new room in the floating castle. After another few minutes we arrived at the lance rooms. The lance rooms where just below the floor where the council stayed so we could leave in minutes to protect them if something happened.

The maid led me to one of the wooden doors opening it then handing me a key before heading off. I headed into the room it was a large room made out of the same stone used to make the castle. It was decorated lavishly with a large king sized bed at the centre back wall it had soft white sheets and pillows that were laid out on the bed.

A desk was put to the side with a large bookshelf filled with books of all kinds from war strategy to story books. I skimmed threw them before hearing a knock on my door I headed over to it before opening it up to reveal Sylvie we had split up after entering the castle as Sylvie wanted to explore the castle.

"Hey Sylv is everything is everything ok did you have fun exploring." I said a small smile appearing on my face, after deciding to give up my emotions I had decided to only show them in front of Sylvie as I still saw her as my daughter, and she was the only one who knows how I truly feel inside.

"I'm fine Arthur I dumped into someone who wants to see you, so I brought them here." She said wiles pointing just a little down the hall.

I looked the way she was pointing wondering how it could be. I saw a man standing there he was the same height as me with ash brown hair and deep blue eyes he had a small beard around his face and a solid build it was my father.

"Hi Art long time no see."
